Hi, OTT for versatility, TTF for competition. For edc I also tend to carry OTT. Since elastics became more reliable and better in performance I can use TTF easier. Due to eye issues it is slightly better for me now. Thanks for stopping by, Cheers!
Azt hiszem a világ legügyetlenebb csúzlizója vagyok. Valamikor gyerekkoromba szoktam készíteni egyszerű csúzlit, soha nem volt gond, persze nem tudtam eltalálni szinte semmit. Aztán vége is lett a történetnek.Majd nem rég láttam egy spéci csúzlit a boltban, olyan versenyre alkalmasat. Golyók hozza meg minden. És megnéztem néhány videót, hogy hogyan kellene lőni. De, jött az első lövés és puff, eltaláltam a csúzli villáját a vasgolyóval, a golyó elszált az ismeretlenbe, még jó hogy nem volt a közelembe senki és semmi! Meglepetés, megrökönyödés, álltam leforrázva, nem tudva mit csináltam rosszul. Na, jött a következő lövés, paff és úgy eltaláltam a villát tartó kezem mutatóujját, hogy majd becsináltam. Akkor megfogadtam, hogy soha többet nem veszem a kezembe a csúzlit. Nem is merném, annyira félek tőle. Nagyon hosszú ideig gyógyult az ujjam. Az lenne a kérdésem, mit csináltam rosszul?
Üdv és Boldog Új Évet! Nehéz lehet a kezdés, ha mindent magunknak kell összeszedni. Az átlagos bolti csúzli általában sokkal nagyobb bőrt hazsnál és nincsen központosító lyuk a bőrön. Ez azt jelenti, hogy nagyon nehéz pont közére tenni a lövedéket és emiatt eleve hátrányból indul az ember, még akkor is, ha minden mást jól csinál. Az acél kezdésnek nem is javasolt emiatt. Illetve a gumi is lehet túl erős. A teljes húzáshosszon ma egy céllövő csúzli kb 3-6 kg húzást mutat. Sok gumi ettől erősebb, ami nem jelenti azt, hogy a lövedék gyorsabb lesz, csak azt, hogy jóval nehezebb pontosan tartani. Ez is okozhat mellélövést. A sebesség igazán a gumi összehúzódási sebességén áll vagy bukik. Szóval kezdésnek vékony gumi, amit könnyű tartani, kicsi bőr és műanyag, agyag lövedék javasolt. A kicsi bőr azt jelenti, hogy ha mondjuk 10mm az agyaggolyó, akkor 12-14mm a bőr szélessége a hossza pedig mondjuk 60-70mm, ami hajtásnál feleződik, szóval az egész elég kompakt.

I've only recently started shooting slings, I have the Hammer XT and Scout X Pro. I have only ever shot OTT in my limited experience and was wondering if I would get on with TTF. I guess I will have to be practical and try out TTF on my existing Slings before I get the Cleaver Pro, but man, is that thing a work of art and just stunning to look at. I wish it came in red as well, but Black is just as beautiful. Well done on achieving this remarkable project of passion and for creating this masterpiece.
Thank you very much Gavin! Try TTF, use reliable bands and small/light ammo. Try to shoot with both eyes open if you don't do it already, that can help a lot, and even more with TTF. Hi obzion, The original Slant was a numbered model and was replaced with the smaller Comp over time. Those were numbered and I stopped making them when newer elastics came in and preference changed (original had 30mm tips). This also happened when family started growing. I am looking forward to resurrect it in an updated version, but not planned for now, just in the future. Thanks for asking and appreciating that design!
Hi, It is hard to answer since a forkhit is usually a result of execution, but here is a list I can pull if the hit lands in the middle. 1. Check if the frame is near perpendicular to the target line. Also a good idea to record a video if the holding hand moves right after the release. A flicking motion may cause a trouble. 2. If the elbow is bent and not stable enough (holding hand) the lockout is not as firm as it should be. That can also generate problematic shots. 3. Make sure the pouch is not too slippery or used too much. Magnesia can help with this. 4. If using face anchor don't push too much against the face, that can cause unwanted friction upon release. 5. Too much angle at the wrist and forearm can result in a tweak that can add a speedbump. If the hit is in the middle the elbow may be too far out horizontally. A stance with front leg slight forward can help to rotate the upper body and give more room to shoulders and elbow to be in line with the aiming direction. 6. Uneven pouch hold. One side of the pouch is rolled forward. 7. Too much grip on the handle, hold it firm, but nothing more. 8. Set the thumbsupport, pre-draw and then lift up and execute the shot process. A pre-draw can help to maintain a good angle with the frame and if done correctly it make the shot easier with the Cleaver. Hope these ideas can help with the troubleshooting process. What you’re describing related to conscious versus unconscious thought is very similar to visualization techniques used in other sports. For instance, playing golf. My visualization technique uses a routine where I go through relaxation. I visualize what’s going to happen I picture myself swinging in the way that it’s necessary to swing to make that visualize shot happen, and when I get up, I clear my mind of all the ideas of how to swing and except the fact that I have a swing inside me that will take care of that by itself. And some of the best rounds that I’ve ever shot have been when I have been able to consistently utilize that technique. But golf is also a social activity and if I’m mixing social activity with playing golf and using the visualization technique, it doesn’t always work out as planned.
Hmmm… RU-vid algorithm, perhaps is now to the point of reading minds. My SimpleShot Cleaver just arrived yesterday. And it’s shooting a little bit to the left. I am a newbie at the sport, which means I have a much better slingshot than I need. This is exactly the kind of information that I needed . I, too, want to keep the slingshot vertical rather than cant the frame. This is exactly what I need.
Good observation man! I really like them, especially this more compact one. It is GW-M5610. I use it for shot timing and countdowns a lot. Lot of excellent features and my few other watches despite being more trendy or wanted just can't stand on the field and life. The G King is awesome, but my wrist is just tiny for that :)

Szia. Mi van olyankor, amikor bal kézzel húznám ki a csúzlit, miközben jobb szem domináns vagyok? Az íjászatban kényszerültem végül jobb kezes lenni a csigás íj és a peep miatt. Az instinctive lövés mennyire működhet a csúzlizás esetében? A tradi íjászatban sőt a csigás íjászat esetében is vannak rá példák.
Szervusz! Érdemes mindkét kézzel lőni egy ideig és akár a célzásnál az egyik szemet lecsukni. A megfelelő referenciával a villán vagy gap shooting módszerrel akár jobb kéz jobb szem kombináció is lehetséges. Esetleg függőleges tartásban. Azonban bármilyen tanácsot adhatok neked magadnak kell próbálkozni és rögzíteni, hogy milyen a találati arányod ezzel vagy azzal a módszerrel, illetve milyen érzés úgy lőni. Az instinctive remekül működik és nagy élmény. Versenyre vagy pontosabb lövéssorozatra azonban nem készülnék vele. Ez nem azt jelenti, hogy nem lehet pontos, csak azt, hogy dupla munkát kell fektetni a gyakorlásba az eredményért. További szép napot és jó gyakorlást :)

nálam ugyanez a helyzet, a jobb szemem a domináns (és a csúzlit kivéve minden más eszközzel jobb szemmel célzok), de a csúzlit gyerekkorom óta jobbkézben tartom, úgy szoktam meg, és bár tudok váltani, akkoris ez a természetes, így tudok gyorsan újratölteni is (a rapid shooting egyáltalán nem megy a felcserélt tartásban - bár nem is nagyon erőltettem). nekem az vált be, hogy mindkét szemem nyitva van a célzásnál, és a célra fókuszálok, miközben a bal szememmel (ami ugye nem a domináns szemem és kicsit rosszabb is, mint a jobb) egészen élesen látom az ágas sarkát.
Az ijászatban ugyanez az elv. A pontosság azon mùlik, hogy mennyire sikerül ugyanazt a mozdulatsort es állandó format ismételni. Ugyanez igaz a kioldasra ( release) is. Kiváló, informatìv video, köszi a megosztast 👌
I am not a native speaker for sure and picked up various accents over the years. I had a British teacher as a kid and later on various US natives in high school. I myself curious what is the closest that sounds similar. This topic comes up all the time when speaking with native speakers. Hi Waldkauz, You can attach pre twisted TTF, but that is not as good for PFS as it is for standard OTT frames imo. The twist affects the direction of the release. The pouch will travel along and over the thumb. This slight movement can also help. Some shooters dont even tweak, since they use the twist and timing their movments. Usually if you have a longer draw than face anchor you can flick the slingshot on purpose (or it happens naturally) to clear the way for the ammo. Once you have a process that works safely you can experiment a bit for sure.

Hello Douglas, Hand hits may occur for many reasons. Here is a checklist: 1. Bands are overpowered and release is shaky. 2. Pouch is slippery or stretched uneven. 3. Ammo rolls on thumb upon release (thumb is bent, not straight) 4. Elbow is way too low, not in line with bands. 5. The pouch hand is pressed too much into the anchor - pressed against the face. 6. Ammo grew some rust. 7. Slingshot frame is not vertical or perpendicular to target line. 8. Band starting to fail and should be replaced. 9. A sort of target panic. These are a few. Hope you can get an idea and sort it out. The best practice is to record a few videos from various angles and check for errors in technique. Kind regards, Mark
