Okay I'm gonna say Russia is the bad guy in this game, but they have the more antagonist role. Their main general Sergei Izotov while intelligent is ruthless and his soldiers are cheap to him. Russia funded the forgotten army plunging the world into WW3 and they have a president that rules with an iron fist. Again I'm not saying their the bad guys
Good point, but its much deeper then the US, these are countries that have been colonized for so many years, so many wars have occurred with in those countries and there are so many that would appose a move like this, I think all countries that are out of Europe would also oppose, not only the US. China, Japan, ext.
But also remember that pretty much all of these nations have English classes in schools, and EU soldiers have been working together for a long time now. And just because they have multiple cultures, doesn´t have to mean anything. How many different cultures were there in the US again?
Remember that there would be a mass amount of language barriers and it would take years of training from all those soldiers for them just to work well with eachother. You would have to notice the culture differences as well and the different leaders, divided respect, ext.
The US has just over 300 million citizens. The European Union has more than 500 million citizens. The US has a GDP of 15.6 trillion dollars, the EU has a GDP of 17.6 trillion dollars. The US has an army of 2.2 million man. The EU military has more than 5 million soldiers. Now remember, is a combination of multiple devided countries. What would happen if they would merge together into one single nation?
Dude, that was a year ago, seriously? Well, yeah, they developed the SCAR together, then the U.S. stole the design and they're still struggling to introduce it in their regular forces. As for Delta, I did not mention it as a special forces unit, but instead as a Counter-Terrorism unit. Sure, it's all subjective and I don't think one can truly say one is better than the other, but they certainly are on par... Now, what exactly was your point?
Honestly, France hasn't really been, generally in society, thought of as threatening since 1815. But they ARE the largest military power in the EU, but due to Britain and it's Commonwealth, they're technically the largest.
Well, looking at it objectively, if there was a world war... nobody would win. Something like half the countries in the world have nuclear weapons now, and the intent to use them if there was a world war. Simply put, we should hope there isn't one.
Right, and now they don't need a war. Of course US has more troops and ships, but Russia has more nukes. Even then, why they're gonna fight when they can work together to create a better world? Really we need to fight each other until the doomsday and beyond?
where in the hell did you get your information from Russia has officially got its super power status back also not in debt like the US and if a war did start China would kick off to.
The whole of Europe would be a stretch, however Germany, France, the Low Countries and Denmark becoming a single country is a real possibility. If such a country where to be created then it's economy would be twice that of Russia while having a population only 40 million higher. Add to that the fact that it's military would be 7th largest in the world (5th without the Koreas) which would posses the most advanced tech (arguably 2nd) in the world, it would have considerable power if it where real.
Them? U.S. Spec ops? No, I respect the guys as much as any other soldier, I just don't think they're the source of all awesomeness, like my opponent seemed to be thinking, almost a year ago...
Well, the JTF isn't as overspecialized, seeing as they are the only Tier 1 Spec Ops team in Canada, might be that Delta would be better in some respect, but I'm fairly sure Joint Task Force is more versatile.
The original is, the Scar-H the U.S. now produces is made in USA as they pretty much ripped off Fabrique Nationale by replacing the old 5.56 ammo by 7.62, then said "Here, it's a new gun!" Which, to me, pretty much proves my point.
Saying that Europe would combine and become more powerful then the US is almost a complete joke in my opinion. There are no countries in Europe that are worth fearing. Even as a combination I would feel more threatened by one Russia. Again, just my opinion though, I see where you all are coming from and I hate the precption that most people get about us Americans from little assholes talking shit and negatively repping the US. It would be interesting to see countries like that combine and form 1
Of course, the SAS would mop the floor with Tier 1 U.S. Spec Ops, but I did mention the JTF2, which is basically the Canadian Iteration of the SAS, and seeing as the JTF is far less notorious, I figured that made them a better example.
you couldnt have an effective army made up entirely made up of Special Forces, it would be too small and even though these troops have extensive experience they would not be able to last long against a large well trained army. Your European Army would be just like any other army, comprised of brave men and women of your nation, but you would have an advantage in Special Forces numbers as having SF from several nations would give you ALOT of tactical power
very good points, except that Britain dosent use the German Leopard, they use their own Challenger tanks, which are still more advanced compared to the Abrams. But its a crew that makes a tank effective not how many gizmoes that are in it.
