For me, it's Bold Kentucky all day. The ODF ready rubbed isn't that much cheaper than the Flake and I'm gonna rub it out either way. Bold Kentucky > ODF all day everyday for me.
I've tried both, and immediately preferred HH Bold Kentucky. To me, the taste difference outweighed the convenience factor. Side note: If you like HH Bold Kentucky but want a cheaper, easier option, you owe it to yourself to try Per Georg Jensen Blenders Collection Dark Fired Kentucky. Great stuff!
My normal smoking spot (front porch) is usually around 110 these days. It was hotter about a month ago. Needless to say I haven’t been smoking much lately. Nice looking library. That zooming back & forth is making me queasy. lol. 👍😃
Dude the bookshelf is hilarious and awesome! I love it. Kind of jealous now. I'm contemplating doing some blending but need to find the right ingredients before I take the plunge. It looks like a blast.

@@PipeDaddyHugeHefner must truly be killer stuff. I generally stick with my hoard of navy de luxe, escudo, hh darkfired and steamworks (love the cigar notes). Next time it gets available I'm gonna buy a damn pound.
2 of my nicest pipes are bin/basket pipes. 1 is a weber second and has amazing straight grain all around the bowl. The 2nd pipe is an Italian briar no-name, But is almost an exact copy of a Stanwell shape. It cost only $17.95 back in the late 1980's !
Hello, I can attest to all that you said. Meeting my "pipe fellows" is a special joy that I always look forward to. In many cases pipe smokers are pleasant and down to earth people. Most of them enjoy music or books. So there are a lot of topics that we can talk about. By the way, I have that Molina too. Enjoyed the video. Hope you keep them coming. I recently smoked my first shag, Penny Farthing. Took a bit for me to figure it out, but once I did I found it’s super easy to smoke! If you aren’t familiar with Gawith & Hoggarth, I recommend you try their other blends. Many are fantastic
Love those Dracula pipes. Someday maybe I will snag one. Retired and on a fixed incomeso I will ave to save my pennies. I have been smoking a pipe since I was 16 or so and have been prety much an english blend smoker. But I have just started a journey into Va burley blends will have to try that one. So glad you are enjoying the tobacco. You are right about cigar and pipe people. The first Midwest Pipe club I atttended, I came home with a pipe, and Robert let me take home his jar of Steamworks. He told me to take it home and smoke it. He said "bring it back next time, and if it's empty, we'll put something else in it." I really enjoyed that Steamworks. Then at this last club meeting, the gentleman that goes by "Road Kill" got me a cigar, and shared some of his bourbon with me. So cool. They were both delicious, by the way. I stayed and had a giant pulled pork sandwich from the food truck. Don't think I left until about 8:30 pm or so. It was a very enjoyable day. Earlier in the day, Nick shared some of his Dan tobacco Blue note with me, and Robert let me try some of his GL Pease Geometrie tobacco. Very enjoyable day with cool people.
Great video! Method 2 is the one I normally use but I’m going to try your method 3 which caught my interest. Regarding, Method 1, haven’t rubbed one out in years. 😂
