There are several ways to create two-tone or other color arranegments with this product. Check out our IG feed for inspiration on how to do these additional techniques.
The Cake Decorating Co. should have them available soon, we unfortunately don't know when. www.thecakedecoratingcompany.co.uk/marvelous-molds-m406?Affiliates&Sub+Networks&awc=23157_1662465530_3153d78e00e8dc21bb462cde7f8fb4c6
Simpresses are designed to be applied directly to your crumb-coated or buttercream-coated cake. We recommend chilling the cake before applying the Simpress panels. In this video at around the 9-minute mark, you can see Chef Dominic apply panels to a crumb-coated cake: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6UuLuz3vHpw.html
Hi Dominic. I searched using impression mats and your channel popped up. Beautiful molds will be going to your site. And FYI, my name is Dana Palazzolo. I had an uncle Dominic!
Its an old video probably you not gonna see my question but let see if you answer: Using these panels seems cake is going to be quite heavy My question is can we apply these panels directly on to (Italian) butter cream crumb coated cake; i prefer not to add another layer of fondant on crumb coated cake; do you think butter cream can hold these panels? specially when transfer of cake from one location to another location required? of course cake will be staying to room temperature during this period of time so softening and changing temperature of buttercream these panels will not coming to start sliding off the sides of cake? What is your experience? or do you still recommend must applying on cake covering layer of fondant for extra stability? For an idea how much fondant (average) required for each panel? (because then its easy for overall calculation of required fondant). These panels can be used with modeling chocolate? Thanks
Hello Parvan. It is our recommendation that these be applied to a crumb coat or full layer of buttercream. We intended this to be the fondant layer without the need for a base layer of fondant. As far as recommendations for travel, handling, preferred adhesive and temperature control, we leave that to your discretion. These preferences can change a lot from decorator to decorator based on many variable factors. This video might have been around awhile, but we are still here. We have added many new styles of Simpress panels, so be sure to check out the collection and sign up for our emails because we have something new coming soon!
@@MarvelousMolds Thanks for the quick reply, Yes I already enrolled with my email and recently bought scrunch and rosette ruffle panels with few other small molds.....will update my experience with you once experiment using these panels, Regards.
Soryy for not replying sooner. Yes, you can use this on a buttercream or other soft icing base. Once your cake has been covered , we recommend that you chill it in order to firm the icing before applying the Flexabet.
