My old cog was installed with a 2mm spacer between it and the hub. I replaced it with a EAI cog and it seems that using the spacer causes the lock ring to only bite on half the available lock ring threads. It seems to me that the spacer shouldn’t be used, and I should resolve any chain line issues (hopefully none) at the chain ring end of things. Does that sound about right? Thanks!
Your car is very beautiful. Let me ask 2 questions. Using 700x32c tires will cause the tire casing to touch the fork when moving? Can I use a 31.8mm seatpost clamp on this frame? Thank you❤

@darrenjay2468 34mm po yung sukat bearing cup. 28.6mm or 1 1/8 inch po yung steerer tube. Magka-iba po yang dalawa as you can see. But yes, for the Tsunami 4130 yan po ang dimensions ng headset.

When you say bottom bracket size, do you mean shell size or spindle length? If it’s shell size, that’s usually a 68mm for your run of the mill frameset. You can also use a caliper to measure the bottom bracket area of your frame. Best way to know spindle length is to check the specs allowed/required by your frame and crankset. Usually, it’s any of the three sizes: 103mm, 107mm, or 110mm. There’s some leeway in choosing the spindle length and the resulting chain line. As long as you’re within 2-3mm of what’s needed, you’ll be fine. The possible issue with going for a shorter spindle is frame clearance-either your chainring or your crank arm hitting the frame.
@merlynbocado7348 If you want to run a fixed gear, your hub should have threads for a cog (tightens clockwise) and a lock ring (tightens counter clockwise). If it doesn’t have that, then it’s probably for a single speed cog, there are hubs that have threads for a cog and lock ring on both sides (fixed/fixed). There are also hubs that would have one side for fixed gear and the other for single speed (fixed/free).

No plan to customize, I intend to ride it beach in Elyu with a Surf rack. The road would be flat and maybe a 10 minute ride. It'll be my first Decathlon Bike, the only other bike I have is a Giant Escape Base model size small. Should I get the small Elops 100, I am 5'5. Thanks in advance.

What about the part thats already on their to which you place the cog. That second ring thats always delivered with a miche cog. How is that called and how do you remove thát or can you use it with the new cog
To my knowledge, the Miche cog carrier you are referring to threads the same way a normal cog would. Once that is installed, you place the Miche splined cog on to the carrier as you would a casette on a free hub body, and then secure the whole system with the lock ring. To add, the system is a bit obscure now. It’s supposed to make changing cogs easier because it’s one less thing to unscrew. You can easily take out and swap the cog (like you would a casette) then tighten back the lock ring. I guess the downside is, you’re stuck with Miche or 3rd party cogs that use that system. In the grand scheme of things, installing and removing standard cog and lock ring is not that difficult. I may be wrong. I have only read about it and have no experience on this particular system. A correction if necessary is appreciated.

Hindi po automatic yun. Depende rin po siya sukat ng headtube and headset ng frame. Merong frames na tumatanggap ng 1” na steerer tube (usually, thread type), meron ding tumatanggap ng 1 1/8”steerer tube (tinatawag ding oversized). May fork din na tapered, meron din straight lang ang steerer tube.

It depends on whether the standards of your fork and the frame meet. Head set size and type is one to look out for. Now it doesn’t always mean that if it theoretically works, it’s the right to do.
