You and your loss are gorgeous. I am getting my lots established 08/31/2024. I'm excited and have been stalking your page. Thank you for posting Cilya.
You are so informative! Loved your tips! I bought a Loc Comb (AMAZON), and you’re right … game changer for ease. I’m 5-months in my Sister Loc journey and loving it!
Hey there! It’s been a couple years, hope you’ll see this. I just bought one of these, 24”, or say it says I have a small head and woah it is tight! I was wondering if you kept it and if it loosened up? Thanks !
@@cilyahowell0529 update, the vinyl part of the cap ripped a bit when I put it on, it actually feels a bit better to wear now still feels snug though, not sure is the integrity of seal has been compromised. Ugh
@@cilyahowell0529 Yeah! 😢 Guess I’ll find out! 😅It’s just the rubbery vinyl part before the stitching, the stitched band part is still intact, as well as the cap itself, if that makes sense.
Thank you! I love this! I am four years locked, and I do rinse my hair after getting in chlorine, however, if I’m on vacation and I get in the pool, I do not rinse my hair after each dip in the pool, I wait until I get back into my hotel room to do that and my hair is fine.
12:32 yes, very black hair would look nice on you. When locs are dyed very black, they look very shiny, if that's something that's important to you. (There are natural products you can use for this, too, if you don't want to use a chemical-based temporary or permanent color kit. Indigo over henna will blacken the hair. But whatever you prefer, though!)
I tried the Jerome Russell color hairspray at your recommendation and I absolutely love it! I didn’t find it to be sticky at all. The color looks so natural and it lasts quite a while 😊I’m interested in trying the blue😅 I totally feel you on missing the beginning stages. I’m four and a half years in and I really miss the volume from the beginning to year 2. As nice as it is to see my hair getting longer. I’m definitely planning to cut it back into a cute little bob once I reach mid back length. Long locs in the summer time is no joke 😰
Finally found some one with my length, texture and density! Plus your years in so I’m loving how they look now. I’m getting mine does in august. Thank you for documenting your journey
Ok okay you giving us a lot of cute short form videos and thank you for that. But honey where is my long form content? I need the see Spooky walking around and you looking off into space ❤😂
Okay okay well I appreciate you still sharing your beauty with us while not even being home. Locs and skin looking good as always. Excited to see more videos😊
This spray brings back memories of the 90s! Be careful to let it fully dry and def do it outside because the aerosol is NO joke! I have the glitter one myself.
Does this cause the hair not to get dried out by the chlorine after swimming? Do you still have to rinse/cowash the hair post-swim? Can the treatment be done on braids too? Also, what's the white liquid in the first spray bottle?
This is old school spray back in the 90s we should do that to our hair I'm glad they still have it around but I used to get on our hands back in the day when we sweat
Alot of people are saying that. I think they updated the formula because it wasn’t getting on my hands really and it dried really fast. Im going to do another closeup video showing it.
I did not know they could be combed. This causes no damage? Even to micros that are not sisterlocs like yours? Is it common to comb them? I do have a boar bristle brush that I use.
@@cilyahowell0529 thanks for the info. So far, I've only experienced tangling at the roots (when there's a lot of new growth). If I ever get tangling along the length, I'll know to try this. I'm just on year 2 (DIY 2-strand twists).
So cute! Tutorial? Hair hack! The super thin hairnets food workers wear are perfect for helping keep your bun nice and neat. Most beauty supplies will have it. 😊
