Great video! I've created a custom object, but I noticed there's no option to attach files to it. Could you please make a video on how to enable file attachments for custom objects
I had to build an almost identical flow today and this video was pure gold, thank you!! There is one thing that's not working, though. I set up an immediate action to send an email just to test the actual email send. The Flow sends the email when triggered by me, the system admin but is not working for other profiles. I checked to make sure the profiles have permission to Send Email and Run Flows, they have access to all fields in the email template, etc. Any other suggestions?
i have created email campaign series in the builder but now when i go to create a flow to launch the campaign the folder i created with the emails is not available. is this a simple fix or should i create a ticket for assistance, thank you for your time.
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing. Question, how can we replicate this within the Screen Flow URL component? I tried doing as you hacked the URL but it shows as error.
This video is great! Thanks for putting this together. If I wanted to filter the case variables so that only options from certain case record types appeared, how would I do that? If we have 6 case record types, for example, I only want to allow two to be created through this flow--with their associated options.
Regarding Einstein Activity Capture, I have implemented EAC into a testing environment and I am having the hardest time trying to prevent it from syncing every new email it detects with every single record that the contact is associated with. If I have 3 different opportunities going for a single contact, I don't want all 3 email threads ending up on all 3 opportunities. Is there a way to configure EAC so that emails ONLY associate with the record that the email was sent from - or if an email comes in without any context it can just sit on the Contact record's activity timeline (and, again, not be on any related records like the Opportunities). I have followed countless tutorials and have been skimming through any SF help article that mentions EAC. I'm not seeing anything about turning off this overly-aggressive association, but (even more frustratingly) I can't even find anything that tells me that I can't do this. Would greatly appreciate any insight!
You mentioned in the video that you can customize what objects show up in the list when you select log an email by customizing publisher layouts and assign those by different profiles. I was not able to figure this out. Can you provide guidance or create a video to show this? I have a lot of objects I would like to remove from the list or even sort the order of them
Salesforce SUCKS. It's decommissioning the only thing we've used that hasn't broken over the years, the Salesforce Outlook Add-In. Now we have to configure our Office 365 Exchange server manually. Salesforce is an absolute joke of a company with a crappy product. I cannot figure out why it's so popular.
I am new to this, I was trying to integrate salesforce with outlook but salesforce doesn't show up after being installed on outlook. So are you saying outlook and salesforce can't work together anymore?
Hi, can the date field be cloned using this hack? I’m not able to clone the date field. Getting an error it should be in format m/d/yyyy. I already have the correct format.
What kind of background info do you need to know before entering a certification program or whatnot? I don't have any relevant college education or up to date computer skills, where would I be best to start?
Hi there! Well I'd say no official prerequisite skills needed to start out. Everything you will need can be obtained from two things, 1. The Salesforce (free) training materials and 2. Getting and building up experience in the tool (how to use it in real world scenarios). The first, simply go to this link and set yourself a login for Trailhead: trailhead.salesforce.com/ and for the second, there are some companies that take in people just starting out in their careers and offer training and entry level jobs, such as, careers.cognizant.com/studentandinterns/global/en/ - hope this helps :)
