This is illogical nonsense. Gus grew up " dirt poor " yet he cannot be killed by the Cartel- the Cartel, boys and girls!- because there are even worse people behind Gus. I do not buy his " poor childhood " drivel for a second. I say- he's the male version of Bachelett. And he's protected by the CIA and the Krasnov clan- not to mention your " regular " German Nazis.
16:00 you went too far off the path, talking about nacho and that other show. try to remember that a percentage of your watchers are just keeping up with AND are entertained by the tempo and story you have already set in place. not a bad video.
Hey, just realized, maybe saul sended francesca to ERNIE!!! Last time ernie shows up in better call saul is when he is fired, so he didnt finished in a bad way with jimmy. And maybe even he didnt saw him as a bad person, cuz he saw jimmy when was nothing a knew all the back history with jimmy and HHM and chuck, so maybe when heares about saul and heisenbergh, didnt thought of jimmy as a bad person, but as someone who became like that for all the steps of the way and prejuices of ppl 🤔
Vince is an incredible story teller, but can fall prey to his own formula sometimes. In the BB universe, NOTHING, is ever too easy, and even the littlest things get stretched out into these nail-biting sequences of suspense. This happens so much, it’s predictable. Having a plan set up and actually going TO PLAN is some deep subversion of the BB universe as a whole. When I realized Lalo’s death was a complete anti-climax, I sort of breathed a sigh of relief. Life is like that sometimes: it’s not always near-miss-edge-of-your-seat tension. Plenty of room for the mundane.
At the beginning of the show, we saw Howard, the lawyer, but by the end, we saw Howard the human. That job was really all he had the entire time, and we didn't see it until Saul and Kim's scheming made it a living hell for him. It's sad all of that lead directly to his death. One character that didn't deserve any of the BS he had to go through.
Awesome video! However, the one flaw on the video is to consider that Gus is a psychopath and had a romantic relationship with Max, with Gus was a psychopath he would not seek revenge against the cartel for his death, because psychopaths do not care about anyone but themselves; either he has a relationship with Max, or he is a psychopath, he cannot be both (IMO).
RU-vid censorship is ridiculous. Any word that has a slightly bad connotation regardless of if it’s actually a swear word gets bleeped. TV was never this strict about it. And I pay for premium 😑
Krazy 8 is an excellent example of a showrunner falling in love with killing for shock and stakes not realizing theres plenty more story to ring out of these characters. Thankfully they were smart enough to surround themselves with people who have good eyes who are unafraid to challenge them and know how to. Wish walking dead and game of thrones did the same thing.
They’re actions being reckless against orders are erratic irrational and impulsive due to the loss they”ve heard and experience, Hartley qualities one wants to see someone fighting the saviors with vengeance that would get they’re own people killed, they need to get their heads out of their asses.
kim is so stupid leaving saul wtf? they did nothing wrong! any normal person rejoyches in their enemies death this is no different to what they did to ken! they fight all the assholes!
You say that you aren't allowed to say the name of the drug the show is about. I think you're misunderstanding things. You can say the word. That's ridiculous. Unless I'm mistaken, the rules are about showing actual, real life drug use and other illegal activity. Even the local news can say. "Meth, cocaine, heroin", etc. You guys gotta stop being so subservient and complacent with things like censorship. If you content creators organized and protested RU-vid censorship they would cave. They need their content creators. It's how they make their money.
how did lalo get in the apartment the door was locked jimmy did it as he let the bastard howard in and you can hear the door get shut...but hard to catch this when you rejoyce about howard's death :) so good
Tuco is one of the few TV characters that legit scared me. I had the psychotic rabid dog type character. You literally never know what they are capable of until it's done. He's one of the best written and best acted chaotic evil characters I've ever seen. And even when Saul is making perfect sense and the deal they are working out is obviously the best choice for Tuco you still can't be sure any amount of logic and reasoning will get through. He may just kill the twins and Saul because he can. And this is reinforced throughout his appearances. He acts first and then stops to think. Even if it looks like he might be listening to reason, he may still impulsively lash out and realize it was a mistake later. Top tier acting and criminally underrated performance.
“Widely regarded as anti-climactic” - What? This video is the first I’ve heard that. The way he died allowed him to retain that invincible aura he had, whilst somehow simultaneously destroying it, and reminding us that he was just a man after all. He wasn’t outplayed in any ultimate or meaningful way. He still had Gus beat, he just got unlucky.
kim told jimmy he can decide what he wants to do...work for the cartell or held the DA! if she wanted jimmy to be a cartell lawyer she would have directly said so or said that he can work for the cartell and it would be great but she didn't she led him decide! people say directly what they want no games!
I think Vince intentionally keeps the 'is fring gay' stuff vague because the question is far too reductive and misses the point of how seemingly obsessive and vengeful the connection is that gus had towards Max's memory. I like to think of a famous line from shawshank 'I don't suppose it'd help to tell them I'm not a homosexual' (Andy to red when talking about the sisters) 'neither are they, you have to be human first'. When someone asks did they have a relationship you are presupposing that someone like Gustavo feels love like anyone else. I personally think that their dynamic was incredibly pathological and characterized by Gustavos need to control and dictate every facet of someone's life and the killing of max was a reminder that he was no longer in control, which struck his hatred to his core.
