That’s a hog. Nice work! What did you catch it on? Shiner or artificial?

Most people using live bait forget to wait on the hook set, nice job.

Thanks, Christopher. I thank Grady for teaching me so well. Tons of fun. What a blast. This is my third trip to FL for bass. I’m setting my sights on Texas. I heard you can get bigger ones in higher numbers than Florida, which blows my mind.

You are fishing in a Clicker Free Zone. Violators are subject to a warning and repeat offenders may be fined $14.34. Nice steelies. Looks like fun.

I’ve been having dreams about that clicker sound since my trip lol When I spoke with the guide, he said they expected their next steelie run to be upwards of 30,000 fish in the Clearwater. That is staggering and hard to believe. I felt so fortunate to get on all of the fish that I did. It was incredible. I’d love to get them on a fly rod. I might have to look for a fly fishing guide the next time when I’m out there.

love seeing fish "hooked +,landed) put your rod tip to the top of the river. you'll land more.

Thanks for the tip. I was so excited to be hooking fish of this size that I was a bit overwhelmed. It was my first time catching steelhead on a boat, using these techniques and with this type of equipment. I wasn't 100% certain about how hard I could pull and how the drag would play during the fight. Amazing fish out there, though. What a river! I have fished for steelhead on a fly rod in Pulaski, NY on the salmon river. That's a whole different type of challenge.
