I use clear contact vinyl shelf liner does the same thing ,,, but what you can really do with drywall mesh tape is make a aged bowl by strip wrapping a balloon with the mesh then rubbing joint compound on letting dry break the balloon sand a little and paint it ,,,,,, Also cast plaster tape is awesome to craft too,,, But the glass looks interesting 👍
Taemi, I am a beginner and very much excited that came up on your video. I am trying to do a batman logo which is also our school logo. I'm having trouble with the release compound step. You done a great job explaining the steps but I still need a little more training. I will keep the video to reference back to.
Hey!! Thank you for the video. I just got a portrait 2 and I’m trying to make what should be an easy print team logo with blue and red, wondering if I can send it to you for some help. I’m totally lost.
Wowi do not have my silhouette at this time but looking at your video i think when i get it i will know more can you you do a picture of a person like that 😊
Girl.......Thank you. Do you know how many videos I watched and could not understand layering. You explained it so well. I will save and refer back to this video when I start layering. Thanks Again!!!
awesome video thank for that, I have a similar problem I have traced the Wolverhampton FC logo but every time I try to make a compound path the yellow disappear, I am using business edition.
It was a logo a friend create for his team and when I select trace it only do some of the image. It's a picture of a scorpion. It not cutting all and it leave out the second color.
Cory Brandt it all depends. It's not recommended to put into the dishwasher however, there are reviews where people have and its held up. I've put mine on the top shelf with no issues but that's my personal items.
Terry W if I understand the comment correctly, yes you would layer each color onto the transfer paper or tape and then move it. You can do it onto the surface also, I just find it easier with the tape. I also use registration marks.
Thank you for your prompt response. I have a Janome Artistic Edge and I love it. It cuts super fast and isn't very noisy, but there are very few videos on it to learn from:-( I'm thinking of buying a Silhouette.
Lynn Couch no problem. I'm not familiar with that machine. I have a Graphtec, a Laserpoint II, and a Cricut also. But always use the silhouette or graphtec
Taemi, I've had a roll of this tape for some time, didn't know what I was going to do with it. After watching your video, I ran a test for what I am working on now. I'm doing heat set foiling with Heat N Bond. I cut out the words with my Cricut, using the Heat N Bond, did some weeding then I placed the drywall tape over the words. Rubbed it over with a credit card, peeled up the tape, words and all. Placed the tape onto my test fabric with a pressing cloth and dry ironed the words onto the fabric (it resists heat too) and did not stick to the fabric, just the Heat N Bond glue. Peeled of the paper backing from the Heat N Bond words. then I placed my foil over the Heat N Bond glue and again with a dry iron I pressed. Let it cool then peeled of the foil backing. Worked like a charm. So easy. O.M.G, who knew. Now I'm going to have to buy more drywall tape. You have created a monster. Thanks for the tut.
