Please please look into the dangers of heating plastic in the microwave. Even microwave safe plastic isn’t actually safe, it just means it won’t burn or crack. Phthalates, bisphenols and microplastics are just some of the few that will leach into your food and are linked to thyroid issues, metabolic disorders and cancers.

A burnaway cake is a cake that has a layer of edible paper that's burnt (as in set on fire) to reveal a message underneath. She's saying if you're worried the cake would taste burnt from the fact it'd been set on fire, you can remove the top layer of icing so that nothing that'd been set on fire is with what you're eating.
