I feel like there is some sort of agenda for this movie, like they hate whatever the new math technique is that boomers hate, but like, that wouldn't quite explain it. Is it just Boomer fear that children are coddled too much? Participation trophies? Or just a "funny" idea and I am overthinking it. If so, I think $22,000 is a joke of a surprise payoff. Should of gone with 9+9, I know the people who made this had that same thought, but were like, 9 isnt a realistic salary for this teacher, or 2+2 is an iconic saying, but I disagree. I don't understand how people who are pro-gun can say this ad is wrong. We put into place tons of laws and regulations to keep us safe from unnecessary death but somehow storing guns properly is somehow an intrusive overreach? The point is a gun is far more dangerous than other things we do protect children from! If this ad was about safe storage of prescriptions then no one would care but bring up safe storage of guns and suddenly the government is coming for firearms and rights. Imagine if we made an ad about how it is okay to slander people because of the first amendment? There are reasonable limits to rights especially when those who lose from non-restriction can neither vote nor even speak in this case.

Like anything to do with biological fact is transphobic, and not wanting male rapists who’ve put a wig on to be placed in women’s prisons is being a nazi, and a student failing a test is due to racism. Maybe it’s different in your country, but my experience of this is that saying it’s left and right is a distraction. The two “sides” are Marxism and democracy/meritocracy. But because it’s portrayed as something else, our schools are getting away with teaching alternative maths.

This is niether about the left or right, its about facts being tailored to suit any politcal agenda to the detriment of the public. Not everyone wants to admit being wrong and would rather blame the other side than maybe accepting they were wrong. Both Left and right polticis have been like this for years.
That may be true, but I don't see the left trying to ban books or giving parents legislative overreach into school curriculum. Let teachers and educational institutions teach. They've literally been studying how to do this right their whole lives. Most politicians and parents don't know how to educate at the level needed for future generations. Parents need to take an active collaborative role, but not to the point of bullying schools into submission.
