Damn this is so amazing. Everything about this scene works and shows so many aspects of a disaster while showing a one take (with cuts). What I love about this so much is that there's no camera showing the destruction from an aeriel view but it's from a in person perspective. so were not seeing everything but we can assume whats happening by the sounds
"This is some of the best cinematography I've seen in a long time." So, you don't go out much... Or "a long time" has a totally different meaning where you are from...
@@louseveryann2181 Who are you? You're some tasteless trash who doesn't know proper grammar and wouldn't know proper filmmaking if someone beat you do death with a VHS copy of Pulp Fiction.
Not that I disagree but it's a bit cringe to bring that up in something completely unrelated to it. You don't have to be pro-Z to appreciate a pretty decent disaster scene.
A father working on a space station has to save his 15-year-old daughter after a meteorite shower hits Earth, using only satellite phones and cameras. Lera Arabova is a 15-year-old girl who lives with her family in Vladivostok. Lera's father has been working at the orbiting space station "Mira" for many years and has long lost contact with his daughter, turning only into a voice on the phone. After a meteor shower hits the city, Lera has only one chance to save her loved ones and the city from a new disaster. Her father helps her in this - through satellite surveillance systems and the telephone, he uses every opportunity to send a message to his daughter, watching from above from the station her every step. Mira (Russian: Мира) is a 2022 Russian science-fiction disaster film directed by Dmitry Kiselyov about family values and love for one's family and friends. It stars Veronika Ustimova and Anatoliy Beliy. It was theatrically released on December 22, 2022. In Russia, the film was released on the night of December 18, 2022, as promoted by Channel One.
Wow, just ... wow. Saw this 8 minutes of pure action without understanding a word and even don't knowing the context. But it was very good in so many ways, the camera, action, realism (not always) and so on. The random car smashes, the old cat lady and how the girl took the balcony and then jumped on the car instead of running one floor down further killed me xD. The POV - camera movement reminds on the russian movie Hardcore. So all in all, great video and propably the whole film is so
Rewatched it, I think the girl did that because she thought the staircase would break over her. Seriously, this style of video and movie is propably better than so many others of modern movies
@@user-btgwqit "Seriously, this style of video and movie is propably better than so many others of modern movies" You mean better than anything made THAT DAY...
Падают огромные непонятные штуки с небес, земля содрогается, здания рушатся, всё идёт в жопу, что нужно делать в таких обстоятельствах??? Правильно, одевать обувь и очень медленно бежать по лестнице
I don’t think the cat would be purring in that moment. Cats are not happy in cars. Cars with explosions all over the place and tons of chaos would have the cat cowering under a seat.
cowering under a seat for sure, but cats sometimes do purr when they are stressed. when I had to take my cat into the vet for her rabies vaccine she was quiet until they took her out of her carrier and she started purring. the vet said that some cats will do it to self-soothe
Pretty stupid in so many ways. She would have been very seriously injured after the impact with the car. Why did they all run toward other buildings, and not to open areas?
Panic could be a reason to run to other buildings, not knowing what to do. But just waking up after 2 minutes and running after getting hit by the van is the worst.
@@Demortixx The thing is, panic would make you run away from danger. They are running toward it. Clearly, the director has no idea what it feels like, being hit by a vehicle.
Exactly, beautiful disaster movie, good effects, nice acting, very nice music.......no bullshit, no diversity, no woke......basically - Thank God - no Western bullshit.
Einfach genial! Super gemacht, tolle Schauspielerin, klasse Kamera und Tricks. Habe von dem Film noch nie gehört. Ich hoffe, ihn auch einmal in Deutschland synchronisiert sehen zu können. 👍
@@gerryadams4413 its not in the Video. where in the video is this Thumbnail? I saw this movie as well , its trash. where is the Image in the film itself? nowhere!
Vans just got a Promo clip in this. stop showing the girl, show other places. this is boring focusing on the girl in the apt. btw Asteroids are not real. oh there goes another sneak promo for a red pair of Vans sneakers after she falls down the stairs.
This appears to be one continuous camera shot. I think it can't possibly be, but I cannot detect where the cuts are. This is so well done it boggles the mind. Everything is perfect: the acting the sound design, the realistic special effects, the cat--was that a real cat? How the hell do you get a cat to act right with all that going on? I don't really have the proper words to express how impressive this is.
