I am eager to set something like this up for our next project! I wonder - is there a way to integrate Numbers or Notes or something to manage the BUDGET part of a project? I find that without our general budget in view, it’s hard to narrow down options on a shopping or priority list
Great video! I would say though that some of the features you detail don’t work in the same manner as they do on older devices like my iPhone 12, gen 6 iPad, or M1 Mac mini. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to attach a link to a Quick Note. It works completely different than the method you used in the video. I do greatly appreciate the use of these integrated apps though. I already use them but you explained it exactly as I wanted them to be able to work and didn’t know how. I’ve already shared the video with friends that I think can really benefit. Many thanks! 🙏🏼 I forgot to mention I have ADHD and I’m not overwhelmed with the process as I have been with productivity apps I’ve tried. 👍🏼
Funny-I was just thinking maybe I should get both, and then that’s where you went. I do switch hands just for relief, but can definitely think I’d prefer the mouse for precision in Lightroom.
Thank you for a very helpful video. In the past I have always gone for the newest, shiniest most feature packed productivity app I could find. Then one day I realised that many of these just ended up becoming a major task in themselves. Now I use Reminders and Notes and find they help me get things done. the tips you give will help me get a little more out of my organisation.
When attaching the tripod to the front using the tripod boot and the strap, does it feel secure? Would it shake around or even fall out if you had to run with the tripod fastened on there?
man you make the content i was looking for. im in the process of switching completely to apple and i used to be an apple user back in 2010s but a lot has changed and now, to get an overview, i find your videos very helpful.
Boosting productivity has always been something I strive for, but no matter how many systems I tried, it never really stuck. Then I came across the idea that having an accountability partner could change the game, especially when I kept slipping on my own. Tried it with a family member, but it wasn’t quite as effective as I hoped. That’s when I decided to join Habit10x and pair up with someone more focused. So far, it feels like the extra push I’ve been needing. I’m excited to see where this leads.
I believe that one can optimize several things and this video helped me a lot, I hope I can get one like this but with accessories that collaborate with tech
hey you're right these days I needed to change my wallet for a more modern one and I got a super thin and elegant vionentus, not to mention that you can fit an airtag on it
I'm torn between the Apple Studio Monitor and Eizo CG2400....I appreciate the obvious differences, but I want it for 60% Photoshop and 40% other apps....Not being able to try them side by side, I welcome any informative opinions...I use a Mac Studio computer...
can someone give me the answer: if we have a calendar app where we can write down what we have to do on what date and at what time, then why use a reminder app? After all, you don't have to do double duty.
Calendar app served more for hard appointments or meetings. Reminders is more for things that have a long window of time you have to do something. Also gets all that clutter out of your calendar. At least that’s the way I use it.
There is overlap, but I also use Reminders lists of movies I want to see, weekend packing lists, places I want to visit, etc. But I also like it for simple things like to remind me to take out trash every week - something I just don’t want crowded in my normal calendar.
If they are in your Photos library, piece of cake. Or files app? But gosh not sure if you could store them locally, and I don’t have VP anymore to test… darn!
If i put my ear 2 inches above the top, i can hear the fan. If you don’t do that (which you never will), the monitor is dead silent. I’m actually pretty sensitive to those buzzing and whine sounds and was a big reason I got rid of my old monitor. I now have 2 of these apple displays and it is completely quiet!
I have an iPhone 15 pro, M1 iPad Pro 11”, and a 2014 Mac mini but I do plan to upgrade the Mac mini just waiting to see if they release the new rumored Mac mini
Great video. Thank you. How did you create the smart list Today/Inbox? I am trying to do that, but the Smart List function will only allow me to filter to add one list. I'd like to combine two lists into one smart list. Thanks!
that mouse is way to busy I would say go with a trackpad instead of playing mourned for weeks - even the app so in order to use this thing you got to spend a few hours even getting to know it and set it up - I would rather plug in the trackpad and go MX Master3 are for Windows guys who build home computers - it is a hobby not a help
My opinion - this is an extreme exaggeration of how “difficult” the mouse and app are. I would guess the buttons/features are no more complicated than memorizing all the gestures of a trackpad. I’ve recommended the MX3 to “non-computer” people and they picked it up really quick and love it. Thanks for watching!
I'd love to see a tighter integration between calendar/reminders and notes, so each time I check a checkbox in notes that would reflect in an associated reminder. Has somebody managed to do so?
Lots and lots of great info, but visual and dialogue just too fast for me. I find setting playback speed at .75 or even .5 to suit my ability to keep up. Hey. I'm an old fart so don't be critical!
i love how you title the video DM. But the video is everything but DM. You use your phone for everything. Get a notebook and take a note for christ sake. your phone should be for texts and calls and thats it. that is what Digital Minimalism is truly
I know what you are saying, but I guess I’m looking at it from a different angle. Minimalism is the digital age and space. Not reduction of digital. Totally can understand the reaction though and thanks for watching!
"I don't need to think about app companies being sold or disbanded, extra subscriptions, or compatibility issues between all my devices" ... yeah .... until you do. I have been on all Mac for about 7 years. I purchased a MBP in 2017. I have no need to upgrade but I can't get the latest version of even simple apps like Notes and reminders because I can't upgrade to the latest version of the full MacOS. That's an issue I don't have with any third-party app. I no longer get reliable notifications for iMessage which is seemingly unfixable. I regularly find "it just doesn't work". Apple falls well short of their promises.
Nicely done. Gave me a lot to think about. I have a hard time with Reminders on the Mac because the font size is so small. I haven't found any way to enlarge it.
