I am a very beginner beginner. Do you have a video about what is the difference between media mail and just mail? Does ebay make your mailing labels or do you? Do you get a label printer? Do you insure your books with the shipping?
Media mail has in the past been cheaper than regular “ground advantage” but the prices are very similar now. I suggest going to usps’s website to see what all qualifies. You can purchase the labels on eBay and then print them off on any printer. A label printer is faster, but you can just use a regular printer and tape the label to the package. I don’t insure my books unless they are worth around $700 or more.
I've experienced the exact opposite. I've been on vcacation mode since January due to a big move and some health issues. My time away keeps expiring since they will only let you do it for 1 month at a time, and twice now I have sold an item in the hours between when vacation mode ended and I was able to put vacation mode back on. I only have about 30 items posted. Think its just a coincidence for you/
I HAD 4 TIRES MISDELIVERED, STRUTS, ALL KINDS OF STUFF, I EVEN HAD TO GO HUNT DOWN THE STRUTS BECAUSE THE MORONS SIGNED FOR THEM, THEY WERE DELIVERED TO A SMOKE SHOP DOWN THE STREET AND THEN THEY HANDED THEM OFF TO A GARAGE AROUND THE CORNER. UPS COULD CARE LESS
I use Scoutly to sort them. I have a link to the app in the description of each video. I plan on putting out a video about Scoutly in the next few weeks.
Hi. First time viewer of your channel. Loving your content. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your triggers for Scoutly. I love your explanation on how you’ve set it up because I’m selling the same way you are on eBay and Amazon.
@@alienbutcher66 most links are in the description of the video. Bubble mailers come from Jairo pack (use code graff10 for 10% off your first order) bubble wrap and comes from an American bubble boy. Boxes come from several different sources but I have been buying most from zoro lately.
i bought a ton of these 10+ years ago that have been in storage. going to try start selling them. very helpful video. probably 5-10k of them. i had kind of planned on selling them in groups of 10 or 5. we'll see.
Great vid Josh! We need to get you on The Reseller Podcast with Kat and Rod. Have you seen it before? Would you consider doing that? You're a wealth of good info and it would be great exposure for your channel as well! ✌
Yeah, I am not a fan of these "software licensing" schemes. I mean I get it from the software maker's perspective. But as a consumer if I buy a piece of software, I want to be able to use it or sell it as I please.
Dr. Zhivago was made into a major movie starring Omar Sharif in the 60s. He was a major star then. I didn't watch the movie or read the book. I am not a fan of romances. The story is about a Russian doctor and his love interest during the Communist takeover of the Russian Empire. I did watch Laurence of Arabia that came out in the 60s at the movie theater with Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif. It was such a long movie that they had a break in the middle so we could all go out and stretch. lol I have watched it a few times on streaming and DVD at the house.
I usually check prices a couple different places. Amazon is usually good amzn.to/4cxtaz2 I also like to check zoro and sometimes I’ll use my eBay quarterly coupon.
70 items to ship from the weekend... pretty darn good! I would leave a comment on the feedback saying the feedback does not rate your service but rates only the music on the cd not being to their personal taste. I wonder if one could get neutal feedback removed. Vendoo... I use it as insurance too. eBay once corrupted a few hundred of my listings and temporarily suspended my account for listing items their customer service rep said was perfectly fine to list... on two different occasions!. Also, at anytime eBay may decide to ban you for life and if that happens you lose the hundreds of hours of labor put into your eBay hosted listings. Once you start getting a larger inventory it really matters that you need a backup host for your listing. I used your Vendoo link to put a few coins in your pocket and well deserved for the info you share.
You said there was a whole tote filled with alternative rock. Man I would have loved to see those. Hope everything’s going good buddy thanks for making this channel
Every year in January I’ll clean out the oldest 10% of my eBay listings. Usually it takes 3 years to get there. Now I’m taking those books to my local used bookstore for store credit.
Thanks Josh, for all the vids! We need to get you to 10k subs. Seriously, you deserve it far more than many other annoying "click-baity" YT resellers that I've seen. 😂 Best to you and family! ✌
I had two "counterfeit" items removed this week: both were just artwork tee shirts (no artist's name on the shirt) one was a "hippie life VW bus" generic shirt, the other was a 'Pacific Beach' San Diego shirt with a VW van on it. I was informed a AI bot was responsible for the deletion. So what was "counterfeit'? Does Volkswagen vero now for artwork? Of course it is impossible to find a number at eBay to talk to someone about about this nonsense. So this is the future of the country now, my friends - robots will control our lives. I'm a Vietnam vet trying to supplement my Social Security by selling a few things on ebay - I'm actually glad I won't be around to see the worst of it. By the way, I didn't receive any suspension, just a notice that the items were deleted. What scares me is that I have no idea whatsoever about when or why the AI robots will strike out at me again.
Yea Volkswagen comes through every once in awhile and veros all the clothing that uses their name without permission. There are lots of non licensed Volkswagen clothing out there, so be careful with it. The same is true of Jeep as well. If I was you I would just stay away from Volkswagen clothing for the next year or 2.
I saw 1 scifi book sale on whatnot but im in canada and was mostly just watching the man in action from a business point of view. My first time on what not the seller was like that person left , everyone lets electronically jump him. Thought i was done with it right there.
Schedule flexability is the beauty of self employment. I did computer programming from home for the better part of 25 years while being a dad to three kids, a number of those years the only parent after their mother died. I could work at night when they were asleep when they were young and when older when they were in school during the day. I can see how full time ebay work gives you the same. Congrats and respect to you Josh the working and hands on dad.
Just another like item. I’ll usually same something like. “Thanks for your purchase. I have lots of similar local cookbooks available in my store. If you purchase any other individual cookbooks I’ll refund any additional shipping charges”
I sell cookbooks here in Australia. Have not seen most of those titles here, although Julia Childs is definitely popular here. I agree it’s often the cookbooks from high-end chefs with recipes from their own restaurants which sell well. I did sell one cookbook for $350.00 which cost me $2.00 at a library sale. (I had never even heard of this chef but he is obviously an expert in his field!)
