Hey there! I’m Bridget-- I'm a bright winter, professional opera singer, personality enthusiast, color and personal style aficionado, voice teacher, makeup enjoyer, occasional gamer, and so much more! I love art, theater, music, and all things bright and beautiful. My goal in producing this channel is to help like-minded folks find joyous self-expression, beauty, and authenticity in themselves from the inside out. I want to help people discover what makes them truly special and offer ways to further love and understand themselves and deepen their relationship with themselves and others. Thanks for stopping by, glad you're here :)
I don't know the name of the color but that fushia/bright satin pinkish color was made for you. The brighter colors made you look so much healthier. I just recently found out I am bright winter but because of my medium tan skin tone it never crossed my mind to try cool bright colors. Time to go shopping!
This is so helpful! I thought I was a soft season for years and it’s been blowing my mind seeing how different I look and feel in my Cool Winter palette 🎉
All of my clothes I look best in are from the winter palette, purchased years ago before I knew the system existed. Somehow when I buy cool toned lipstick it doesn’t work for me though. A stranger once told me on social media I am a bright summer based on a tiny profile photo, though oranges do to my skin basically what they do to your skin here.
Bridget, thank you so much for all of your color analysis videos! They are so helpful and well put together! I'm getting my color analysis done in about two weeks and I'm pretty sure I'm a winter.
@@pdk9903 yeah! Isn’t that crazy! I always thought I had cool olive skin (which is kind of true) because I was always wearing the wrong colors and looked so yellow next to other people in photos. In the right colors for me that optical illusion goes away.
@@BridgetCappel it really is wild! Undertone for olive skin is tricky to diagnose! I'm a true cool (between winter and summer) and today I was wearing a tinted SPF which is kind of more neutral and matching my tan and a lady at a make-up counter told me I have "greenish skin". 😂😭 So super cool undertone + neutral tan coverage = olive complexion 🙈
I am a true winter and I was going through my wardrobe looking for something to wear as I watched this video. I went for an orchid purple top in the end which made me pop in the most flattering way.
I do feel like as a winter it's easier to look sick or tired without that added color/shine. If the skin is not perfectly smooth (blemishes, redness, dark circles etc.), it looks less bright and more "blended" or just patchy, so it feels like a bigger issue to us in comparison to the other seasons. Once I discovered the tinted/sheer makeup options (usually lips and cheeks because those are the easiest) I barely can't go without at least one of them!
@@kamalalove6083My favorite right now is Revlon Kiss tinted lip balm. It’s very inexpensive, but it has a really nice sheer amount of color and looks great on its own.
Yes, I totally agree. I find that the only time I’m really happy with my appearance without makeup is when I have one of my best colors on near my face. If it’s not quite the right color as a winter it’s really obvious on us since color and contrast are important to echo our natural depth. Also as a bright winter, if I wear only black, I really feel that I need at least a little color on my face to don’t get dragged down and shadowy. Tinted/sheer makeup is such a good option for us though!
Great video! Love your nails. Would you be so kind as to tell us the brand and shade, please ? Also, I would be excited to see blush video, both powder and cream 😍 Just a suggestion. ☺️
I had a professional color analysis years ago and it turned out that I was a True(meaning Cool)Winter. For years before this, I was at times so frustrated at why some of my clothes looked great on me and others looked awful. I always looked better in silver, while almost everyone else around me wore gold. Makeup and hair coloring only worsened the problem. Then I saw a book called Color Me Beautiful. I can't remember who wrote this book, but it opened up a whole new world of fashion and tips on how any woman can make her appearance more unique and enchanting. Looking Your Best, another book from Color Me Beautiful, displays the 12 Seasons Color Palettes. I had long sensed that I was a Winter, but had no idea of what kind of Winter I was. Well, I decided to have my colors analyzed. And my hunch was right--I am a True Winter. I enjoy it as well.
@@HollyDutton-wz8fe that’s fantastic!! Planning on doing a video about the history of color analysis that will include Color Me Beautiful. I’m so glad you felt seen by reading it. It’s so validating to know what looks best on you in a world where trends are pushed so hard. We don’t all have to look and dress the same and that’s beautiful!
You are very clearly a bright winter. The moment you switched to the dull yellow your eyes went baggy and you lost your natural glow. There's a lot of misconception about color analysis and the best way is to just try the colors and see what looks good. The bright winter looks good. 🎉
@@BridgetCappel It would be interesting to see a True Winter man trying out True Winter cosmetics! Idk if he'd be comfortable with that though😂. You could also do the same kind of video with your husband.
Thank you so much for putting this together! I clicked on this video so fast. I’d love to see videos like this for blush and eye shadows and liners, too, if you have time at some point. I’m a new bright winter, so I have a lot to learn. Some of these shades look so intimidating to me, but I’m starting to adjust to the changes.
You’ve got it, I’ll keep ‘em coming! I’ve noticed when I fearlessly rock a bright red lip around new people I’m working with, I’ll see them come in the next day or so with their own bright red lip. Maybe it’s coincidence, or maybe you’ll be influential 🤭 but know you were made to pull off a bright lip! Enjoy the journey!!
Just get analyzed by Carol Brailey in Toronto or Colour Analysis Studio in Melbourne m, Australia. They both do on-line analyses. They are the best colour analysts on YT.
I’ve had an in person analysis done and I’m a bright winter, no doubt about it. People just didn’t agree in the first video I made about this and said they think I’m a summer, which is why I made this demonstration. I think it’s painfully obvious that winter is the winner.
Just what I was looking for! I would love to see more BW makeup recs, fashion finds, jewelry, and why bright people are often misdiagnosed as muted. There are also mid-end brands with bright lipsticks, like MAC, Gxve, and Urban Decay.
True colour international’s website sells them. If you book an analysis with one of their trained consultants, you will receive one at the end of your appointment, but if you already know your season you can order one!
Loved this video! As a true winter I appreciated the collage at the end…sometimes I go back to wearing nude lips and brown eyeshadow but seeing the huge difference it makes was eye-opening! Thank you
Omg! I thought you were stunning in bright winter. I’m not saying this to be mean to the other ppl. But some ppl are color blind or can’t see certain contrasts of colors well. You probably look great in a lot of colors and looks. Lucky woman! But I definitely think that bright winter was 100% gorgeous!
They are from True Colour International- when you get an analysis done with one of their consultants, your receive a fan of your season. But you can also purchase them individually!
I did my color analysis this morning and I was told I am a true winter. This goes against everything I’ve ever worn and liked on me. I always thought I was a soft autumn. 😢
You will learn to embrace it if you want to! I was convinced I was a dark autumn (don’t ask me how) and so shocked when I was draped as a bright winter 😅 took some getting used to and I STILL have trouble finding clothes and feeling comfortable walking into the room in the brightest clothes of anyone there. But there’s no denying how great you’ll look in your seasons colors!!
