I'm Mick West, skeptic, writer, UFO investigator, and former video game programmer. This is the official channel for videos relating to the debunking and other experiments I do on my forum MetaBunk.org. It's also where I post the video of my Podcast - Tales From the Rabbit Hole (tftrh.com) which focuses on long-form discussions with people whose lives have been affected by conspiracy theories. My primary focus is on conspiracy theories. I investigate claims of evidence around those theories, covering everything: 9/11, UFOs, False Flags, Chemtrails, and even Flat Earth. I also discuss how best to help people who have fallen down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole, a topic I explore in my book: Escaping the Rabbit Hole - How to Debunk Conspiracy Theories using Facts, Logic, and Respect. Interesting story. Hey Mick, do you have any regrets about relentlessly pushing back on, and refuting claims you've found to be untrue made by highly qualified scientists and others? It seems that there's some really big money making potential in the UFO subject that attracts these people, often highly qualified scientists and experts into pretending they've discovered something fantastical or something that can't be explained etc, all with the intention of selling a show and making money. Were you ever tempted to just go down that avenue and were you ever approached by any of these sources and offered big money to just say you can't explain what you actually can explain? When I look at the likes of Skinwalker Ranch(and I can HONESTLY, hand on heart say I've watched maybe 2-3 episodes, and never an entire episode lol!), these are seemingly genuine scientists(though some gun slinging chap with the name of "Dragon!" kinda set the tone lol) making rather embarrassing claims and conducting rather embarrassing experiment methods. It's just an entertainment show obviously, and I think it's even fronted as that, not actual fact, though perhaps I'm wrong.
Man, am I the only one who doesn't think it looks like a blob or portal. I've seen this image from the show several times. And everytime I don't think it looks anything like a "blob" or "portal." I think it looks like a circular or round structure what's some type of rods or antennas on the edges. That's invisible or being cloaked. Am I the only one who's seeing it? 🤨🤔
The camera is clearly way above the table .. Just the plastic lens rim alone raises your view angle to see much farther out. You will hold on to anything so you don’t lose your spinning space ball. Continue to live in fear? But why?😅*
I’m subscribing to this site as I have had an absolute gut full of BS from Lue Elizondo. Man is a total egoist, sick of him and his manipulation. 30 years a forensic psychiatric nurse in the UK, I know a liar when I see one
One of the pilots went on a podcast and debunked that the track was lost. They said that would only occur in the way it did if it was already tracking it at the limit of view, which is not the case here. Edit: I completely support what you're doing as this is how science works! Keep it up. We want the truth, not fantasy.
Mick, I don't know if you have already done it but it would be hilarious if you edited a video adding typical UFO nonsense and showed it in your channel, just to watch the NPCs argue that it's real.
Weren't they also spotted on radar dropping down from 80,000 feet before being filmed, flew for hours, and were determined not to be American tech? The shape wasn't the part that made people think they were UAP.
I agree with Alex... So what? Mick does his work of video analysis because he loves solving puzzles. And that's a perfectly good reason to do it. And it's perfectly reasonable for Alex to be more interested in the critical thinking side of the wider subject than the unsupportable idea that extraterrestrials are visiting the Earth. We are very far from uncovering a single iota of evidence to support that premise. And it's a really poor argument to say that there's no proof because the government is hiding it all. Every piece of "tantalizing video evidence" comprises of Low Information Zone footage - as Mick describes it. There's nothing worth getting worked up about after decades of rumor and conspiracy stories. It's an interesting topic, sure! But to the question "Are we alone in the Universe?" it's clear that the best answer based on current evidence is "Yes. For all intents and purposes, we are alone in the universe." As Douglas Adams wrote, "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.” He was onto something there.
Hey mickey what do you make out of the new newyork scientific study, excelent data, and footage from newyork bet you wont take it on, again the science u beg for, and you wont and cant debunk it , what about sol fondation theirs that science again i guarantee you will never take on their scientific data you seam to be ducking the verry thing you have been asking for science
As a skeptic, genuinely, I'm not going to accept this information. I make no claims about what is in these videos, but if you think being a writer and program trumps decades of professional military people with explicit training for bespoke military systems using infrared cameras and radar mistook a balloon for a uap, lol... I'm siding with the professionals. Writing, debunking, and programming are not qualifications of an analysis of FLIR footage.
Due to a previous line of work I have experience with this type of military hardware and was underwhelmed when these videos first appeared in the media, with similar comments Mick has made here. If this is the best evidence for UFOs I'm afraid it falls well short of proving anything, let alone it being regarded as proof of anything but the fact IR targeting systems work as advertised.
Another one bites the dust for me man. I used to think Japan Airlines 1628 was special, then I learned more about the Captain, and the co-pilots who actually didn't corroborate what he saw. This tic tac stuff was pretty exciting at first, but not anymore. I think what's happening is that the people pushing ufos and aliens simply want that yearly budget money.
I would appreciate Mr West's analysis of this new scientific study taken over ten months at Long Island Beach using a mobile laboratory with multiple high-tech sensory instruments, that confirms UAPs are more prolific than previously thought: Open Journal of Applied Sciences > Vol.14 No.8, August 2024, Eye on the Sky: A UAP Research and Field Study off New York’s Long Island Coast
So, the people who released this “UAP” video also knew it was a “gimbal” artifact of rotation all along. That’s actually interesting. Btw, awesome presentation, very concise, very clear. Thanks!
It’s crazy that I watched a few of your debunking video, then decided to watch this one, only to find out that you helped create the video games that defined an entire decade of my childhood.
Seems like this video debunks the debunking very easily! ALL they talk about is why it's fake without presenting a shred of hard evidence. A very poor debunking at best. All I saw was some matching imagery... nothing that would constitute any proof.
Here's a thought...Elizondo isn't just conning the public, he conned the US government. I don't believe they're even competant enough to explain what the hell the majority of these UAPs are. I reckon they turned to conmen like Elizondo out of desperation and now he's running his scam on the public. As another commenter said. This asshole knows he's wrong, he just doesn't care. He's a conman trying to get booksales.
you said it yourself you do not have the same amount of experience as David meaning you know nothing of his training yet you are skeptical of it?...come on mate grasp at straws much?
When a lonely child wants to get attention for being smart, they create their own universe. They can change the rules whenever an adult asks a question. Lue Elizindo and his followers are that. How can someone be a "top researcher" of something that doesn't exist ? 'Make believe and money should be.lest to Disneyland. Stay away from science.
