Job market is still doing good. But of course, less than like in 5 years ago. Companies are starting to invest in R&D, and as a result, I see quite some job openings
About the IT sector, I have heard from friends that it's been affected a little. For Mechatronics, choose any specialisation field except ML/AI. This field is harder to get in without CS background or PhD
Can we do these things and work in robotics field with electrical engineering degree? I want to work in Space and Technology and AI Robot/Humanoid robots, can I work on these things with electrical engineering?
Yes definitely. That is a good field to work in and also German Aerospace Center has a whole new department for Robotics where people from Electrical engineering background are welcomed
In your case you have to apply for a working visa permit. I don't know much about it but you can find more infos here: www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/types/work-qualified-professionals
I am working as a Development Engineer. Generally speaking the opportunities are good. But ofcourse depends on your skillset, and also your German language
Hi brother, my German is just at level B2 and cannot speak live a German Native Speaker and of course I am more fluently with English, so can we work at DLR if we don't speak German too fluently?
Bro i am studying btech mechanical engineering and i wanna do my masters in mechatronics.... my passion is in automotive industry are there job chances for a mechatronic engineer in automotive industry
- Matlab/Simulink for Control Engineering - Python for almost anything - C/C++ for hardware programming - ROS for robotics For my work personally, I have used a lot of Matlab, Python and very vaguely C++.
Hello brother , I am also applying for masters in university of siegen for mechatronics course , I have 8.33 CGPA in mechanical engineering with two internship one in manufacturing domain and the other one is in simulation . Do you have any idea that what are the chances for me get admit.
Hi there! The chance I would say is 60%. From your internships, it looks good, but from the last few years, they are focusing more on CGPA. Last time I checked they were taking students with CGPAs somewhere around 9.
@@kibakibiunplanned5196First of all thank you so much for your reply, I did one internship at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Hyderabad in manufacturing department and the other one is Online internship and my work is to simulate the design on Ansys.
@@abuqasimkhan3656 definitely bro... keep applying. Also do apply for courses like M.Sc. Design, Computational Engineering, & Mechanical and Process Engineering. These are related to your internship on Ansys simulation. I wish you all the best!
500th subscriber here, i really enjoyed your raw video, where everything is explained. It was calm and very real..As a person who is interested in Mechatronics Eng, am looking forward to your videos!
Bro I’m studying at NIT Trichy,3rd year.I want to intern at DLR for this summer.I have already interned at IIT Madras on Mach 2 gas dynamics.I want to intern at DLR on experimental hypersonics and/or airbreathing propulsion. Please guide me.Thank you.
I am sure you'll find something according to your match. You can also search by departments. For e.g my department was 'Institute of Electrified Propulsion' at location Cottbus
brother is LDR in seigen or in a different city? can you name the city? I have some questions related seigen city and the university 1. is the city very remote or local? monotonous? I heard people have travel different cities for jobs? can you tell something about it? 2. is the course satisfying? up to the mark? will build me properly to drive in to the industries? good for automation, control and robotics?
1. Siegen is a pretty city, but small. For jobs, graduates go to different places. It's same for all Universities. Few also started working in some company in Siegen too, mostly Machine Learning related Software engineering
2. Course is good and intensive, its designed so that you can go for both research (PhD) or industry. If you want to purely go to the industry side, a technical or applied science universities would be a better option.
@@kibakibiunplanned5196 brother why software related jobs after doing masters in mechatronics? can you tell me will mechatronics a good career choice in germany? are job sectors and pay scale high? will you recommend me TU hamburg or seigen if I get into industries?
@@omorkhan3437nowadays all the development mostly happens in software side. In Mechatronics course you'll learn a lot of software. It is a mixture of electrical, mechanical and software.
Im a robotics enginearing student.can you please enlighten me on thr kind of job, salary, internship opportunities if possible, and what kind of work place environment I should expect
Generally, as a robotics engineer, Germany is a very superb place to work. There are different possible job positions: Robotics Software Developer (ROS, C++, Python) Embedded Systems Engineer Simulation Engineer Electronics Engineer Control Engineer
I did my bachelor's in mechanical engineering and worked 2 yrs as a business analyst in finance domain. Can I try for masters in mechatronics engineering? Please reply!! I highly appreciate your response ❤
@vishnubhaskar5586 Yes definitely. In our batch, 60% students including me had Bachelors in Mechanical, the rest comprises of Electrical and Mechatronics branch. Your 2yrs experience would be helpful for getting admission and also for a job after studies. You can opt for jobs like Application Engineer, Consultant Engineer, or Data Science Engineer.
Thanks for your reply!! But still my experience and course is not matching right? Is that fine or they consider it as 3yr gap? Also please share your LinkedIn
@@vishnubhaskar5586 Having a gap won't be a problem. Don't worry. Mechatronics also has Machine Learning courses as well. And many students go to Data Science field. So in that regards, your experience would be somewhat matching if you have done some data analysis kind of stuffs.
I see you using matlab in the video and elsewhere saying Python Matlab and C/C++ are pretty fundamental to learn. Which language is your personal favorite and how much of each percentage wise do you use on a project? Cool video btw!
Thanks! And nice observation. While doing the project, my Supervisor gave me the freedom to choose any language of my choice. I chose Matlab because I was good at it and also because later on I have to transfer my project to Simulink which can be done seamlessly using Matlab.
Knowing any high level language (Python/Matlab) is fine for implementing any idea in software. But in the next process to actually implement it in hardware, you have to know either C or C++.
@@kibakibiunplanned5196 Awesome! I enjoy Matlab as well and used it with Simulink for my capstone project. I was debating whether to dedicate the time to learning C/C++ because I saw some jobs require it and was wondering why that is- but you answered it perfectly. Didn’t know the design engineers themselves embed the software. Thanks for sharing!
@@SM_757 Welcome! As an engineer working with Matlab/Simulink, you will at one point be asked to do some tests of your design (mostly SiL and HiL test). And in that moment you have to know C/C++ (intermediate knowledge is fine). Matlab also has a package to generate C code automatically from your developed model.
Hi friend, may I ask what kind of skills are employers looking for in employees when they're applying for a job? And is german language a necessity or English is enough? Love your videos
Hello there. Thanks :) The interviewer generally look for any kind or practical experiences gained in the respective field (either through projects, internships, thesis, or even better jobs). Proficiency in Programming is a must (Python/Matlab, C/C++). German language is always super helpful. With only English, the number of possible job position decreases comparatively. In pure IT job, just English is not a problem though.
