Quina doesn't have a character arc because they don't need one. Their life is about absorbing and enjoying the experiences of life directly. I see Quina as a mirror to the player audience. People who don't get Quina don't get Final Fantasy IX.
101 facts?! Come on! This is sacrificing quality for quantity. Keep it at max twenty, ffs. Who tf is restarted enough to want to sit through 101 facts they most likely know? At that number there's so many idiotic "facts" that you have to pick from common knowledge just to reach that lofty number. Mind rotting content.
Teetus sounds like a trans Tidus with teets. It's Tide-us because that's how phonics and proper language works. Japanese always pronounce things wrong..
Cool gameplay! I recently launched this game through Boosteroid - it's amazing that you can play on max settings without a powerful computer. I advise you to try it, the service is really fire
Quina is the superior party member and very cool character. it never looks superfluous or unnecessary. and this character also has irony towards himself - when he remains paired with Zidane, he is not offended by him. although Zidane wanted to be with Dagger when the portal to Terra opened
To be fair, saying Tidus as Tidus does make sense. Otherwise it would have been written as Tydus. Its just that in English it doesn't "sound" very cool. So that's why many likely called him Tydus instead
"its pronounced teedus because its a reference too teeda" "its only pronounced teedus because an american narrator said teedus" you just completely completely contradicted yourself
YOU DIDNT MENTION NABAÀT FROM 13 wearing glasses🥴 but I'm trying to decide if I'm surprised honestly, too many people don't acknowledge that one💔 she looks like Sandra Bullock with glasses!
Caith sith is one of the most unique / interesting characters i have seen in a rpg. Caith Siths limits revolve around luck which is fun. Always used to have him on my party as He, vincent and cloud are the only ones who have powerful Magic attacks and high spirit. So i wouldnt say hes useless at all. It just depends on your playstyle. You could say barret is useless if you want him to be a mage.
I feel like Reno's line in Remake before the Fall of Sector 7 is a summary of the Turks in their entirety. _"I guess it's a bit too late to grow a conscience."_ I never really saw them as "bad guys". They are just people who have been doing a shitty job for so much time that they forgot what scruples are. Probably my favourite FF7 characters.
6:43 Actually Cloud is 173cm and if you played KH2, during the battle in Radiant Garden when Squall and Cloud are fighting the Heartless, Squall (well, Leon) is taller.
The fact that Zell is the only character who can't reach max accuracy is incredibly funny to me. Bro uses his own dang hands. This is even funnier when his fellow party members use the powers of gun, sword with gun, whip, nunchaku, and BOOMERANGING SAW BLADE ON A SLINGSHOT. To add to this, it's a plot point that the guy with the gun loses accuracy when anxious, yet he still has better control of his shots than Zell of his fists.
I'd say that the most interesting one you spoke about was the "affection system." I noticed a few things that changed over the few times that I replayed the game; one of which was the Blitz Ace move and who threw the ball to "TEE-DUS" lol. Very cool video. Thank you.
To be honest I was surprised just how much you could influence it throughout the game, considering that it doesn't change that many scenes when all's said and done. I suppose the fact that they chose to include such a system at all is interesting in itself. Thanks for watching too!
Cid ff4, Barret ff7r, Auron ff10 wear glasses. Cloud in ff7ac, but only specific onr for when he rides his motorcycle, cid ff7 as well but those are for aircrafts and I'm not sure if he did use them (and haven't player rebirth yet).
The "Rinoa is Ultimecia" theory has a lot of good points, specially if you check all dialogue ingame. And in a recent interview director went back and said that maybe thats what they intended on doing, but he dsn't remember clearly since it was so long ago. Besides what he says, I really think it's what they meant because everything in Ultimacia last words weighs more, the story has a dramatic turn with both a Happy and Sad ending happening at the same time
I FIRST PLAY IT IN DECEMEBER 1999 I FELL INLOVE WITH THE ATMOSTPHERE CHARACTERS STORY AND MUSIC THE GAME WILL ALWAYS IN MY HEART TIL I GONE IN THIS PLANET. THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES FINAL FANTASY 8 THE GOOD OLD DAYS SLEEPLESS GAMING NO INTERNET BEFORE MILLENIUM LETS GO BACK IN 1999
french players thought Adel is a girl because the french word used( "sorcière"=witch/sorceress) instead of "sorcerer" lol. However, even Zell himself tell Adel is a boy in crude term. in FRENCH VERSION, Zell loves 'bretzel'(Pretzel), not hot dogs ; the erotic magazine is not 'Girl next door' but 'comtesse Cochonou' (= Piggy countess) etc. about speedrun, French version is preferred because less word characters in dialogues.
