Interesting how similar this is to the so-called “magical personality” utilized by occult practitioners. You shed light on the fact that by becoming someone or something else than what you normally identify as, you sidestep the difficulty of change, and can perform beyond your normal self’s limits in a moment. Hi! I am 23 Yo ambitous guy. Since I was a kid I always struggled with depression and depersonalisation. I always had it very easy to create fictional charachters inside my head and act like them in different situations. Recently I have been diagnosed with dissociative disorder, because when I dont use any of the characters I feel numb, empty, like manequen with no will or feelings. And using those characters gets me severly exhausted. I kinda want to find my real self and not feel empty at the end of the day.I just finished reading No Bad Parts and will now start to read your book in hopes to finally feel alive xD
@@blue7671 I am on Chapter 11. And honestly many of the things that Todd tell in his book we already do IRL. Todd put together kind of a guide on how to create, foster and embody an alter ego. I really love how many different stories of different people he put in. Although I am still struggling with identifying my Core Drivers.
This correlates to: - Buddha - a certain behaviour dynamic has inevitable a certain fate - Jungian psychology - An archetype has a certain narrative and fate - Jordan Peterson's Hero/Villain framework (maps of meaning) - Manifesting - Imagine and experience yourself doing something with all senses and it has to happen - Freudian psychology - It's OK to tell your "inner critic"/superego NO! (good when healing CPTSD) My only OBJECTION would be that SUFFERING comes from attaching things to ones identity.- And DETACHING is the key to healing (enlightenment). So as long as you AFTER COMPLETING A GOAL you can DETACH from that identity you previously embodied, you're good. Otherwise you are STUCK with a LIFE LONG PART you only wanted/needed to play from a BRIEF ACT.
Tony Robin says "change your identity to change life " ages ago. You write whole book only on this topic in different way 😄 . I have read your book, but its really beating around the bush but not getting to the point quickly, its makes the book lengthy 😑😑

There will never be change in the world , if there is no alter ego...every human being is given his own alter ego by the giver of lights...in truth , Christ has his own alter ego-this is the principal reason why he is coming back into the world in order to make known to the whole world his OTHER SELF to complete his mission to the world of bringing light to this dark world...so the Christ who is coming is his alter ego or the other side of Christ...
When I was 13 I had got into some trouble and ended up locked up in juvie about 4 yrs and I created an alter ego in there too help me navigate through the many different facilities they transferred me too, jumping head first into your fears are the best way to overcome and a lot of the time afterwards you will realize that it was all in your head
