Isagi could never start as a 9 or as a winger, he doesnt have any physical capabilities to win on 1 on 1s against top defenders. His talents are more adequate for a midfielder, ofensive or defensive, but he could survive as some sort of Thomas Muller on the Forward position, thats his only wway to become a striker the way he wants.
I don’t think people really take the time to understand exactly how stacked Isagi’s stratum was. Almost half of the top 23 in the NEL are from isagi’s stratum and a quarter of them are from his own team.

if anything we put Zantetsu on right wing, put Reo in his defense spot as centre back, and add Bachira into the midfield but It’s more because Zantetsu can rlly show off in defense and everyone in the offense got a better chance at scoring
isagi vs rin is litterly soo hyped rn cuz like they are litterly equal rnn and noooobody knows who wins im guessing rin cuz the game is 1-2 rn and no rin goal sooo ig it will be a rin goal that will settle at 2-2 then maybe bastard munchen will win with an isagi or kaiser goal who knows
What I think will happen is Rin's berserker mode failing, and him not scoring. This would serve 2 plots in my opinion. First: it would show Rin he needs to let go of his obsession with Isaegi (see what I did there?) to evolve to his next stage. As much as Rin hates it, he has become dependent on others. -Second: It would show Rin's trio has failed, dragging Tokimitsu and Nanase down. Nanase did say that "they can't celebrate" when Shidou scored, cause their value is tied to Rin. It would get rid of 2 characters who we like, but realistically speaking, don't have the blue lock mentality. Nanase sold himself out to Rin and Tokimitsu is constantly afraid. They don't have an ego, unlike Zantetsu who's shown his ego multiple times. Also, this would mean Kiyora makes it (heavily focused as the borderliner so it makes sense) as well as Fukaku (second goalkeeper). These are 2 characters who're relatively unexplored, so the author could work with them to develop them in new types of characters. Also L munk

I never knew about there being a golden boot and golden ball because i dont know much about soccer before reading Blue Lock. I think Barou is going to get the Golden Boot because it's, I think, the completion of his arc to be the top scorer, the king of soccer who ushers in a new era. Isagi will get the Golden Ball because it's the ultimate protagonist thing to do. Rin doesn't need either because the completion of Rin's arc will be a brotherly dual-awakening with Sae. Nagi and Bachira are magic dribbling/trapping players rather than hat trick scorers, so I don't see them narratively getting either of those trophies. Nagi's arc will be complete when he quits soccer and/or finds the truth for his ego. Bachira's character arc, I feel, is already complete, and he will simply be a best friend support role to Isagi while still proving to be a total menace on the field. That is, Bachira's arc will find narrative strength in his ability to enlighten those around him. Yukimiya will forego playing in the world cup in order to be treated for his eyes. Chigiri will play in the World Cup but it will be the last time he plays soccer (Chigiri's final goal will be leg shattering). Kunigami's hero soul will have to reawaken during the world cup game. The World Cup arc is gonna be incredible, because we'll see Isagi and his team face off against every final boss there is.
This is why I hate Loki because he's a terrible master and I know he sees the NEL as a test for Charles but come on man Loki over all sucks as a master
I honestly dont really fuck with sae being on japan, we havent seen the resolution to the itoshi brothers fight, sae still has yet to acknowledge rin and i dont see that happening unless rin can actually fully beat him in a way that forces sae to acknowledge his growth, and it just wouldn’t make sense with how they are hyping up the top 23 and they would have to take out someone to put sae in. It wouldn’t make sense to do all that just for someone to be kicked out via technicality thats just not blue lock
Great team, although it feels more like "the most convenient team" for Isagi not the perfect team for him. I'd say this team would need another great striker up top with him in order to serve Isagi's greatest ability (devouring others). Very few of the above players would "allow" Isagi the best path to evolve DURING a game. More so, from an ego perspective (which is the entire premise of BL), there are other players who could help Isagi understand himself and the world around him a little more
