Cassette Deck Service with 30 years of experience. All started as a hobby in latest 80's but last 15 years became serious work. Nakamichi decks are my favorite as i work with them from 1st day. Also "almost" all test/calibration gauges have for servicing them. Right after are Revox, Aiwa, Alpine/Alpage, Teac and Luxman. Of course thru all those years was successfully serviced also other deck brands like Sony, Tandberg, Pioneer, Akai, Technics,...and many more.

Whoa. That one has all kinds of problems. That will be a hard one to fully fix. And problems with the VFD. I watched another tech try to fix VFD problems before by replacing all kinds of chips, then boards, then everything that connects to the meters. No luck. Hopefully your experience will be different.
Does this player support Bluetooth? I'm trying to look it up on Google but am struggling to find any clear-cut answers. Excuse me if this is common knowledge by the way, only beginning to get into this stuff
this was an ecelent deck but i rceived from my father the ZX-9 wich is not that diferent but works with perfection, all the defects on the Dragon ,here all don´t exist mainly the automatic azimuth correction and the auto-reverse ,this is much better and works
@@brianwood5220 1st you need to know, how dual capstan drives working. To get proper intercapstan tension...take up capstan must rotate faster than supply capstan. This makes proper intercapstan tension. As one spins faster then other...at one point it came to slipping and that time mark supposed to stop...till mark moving down intercapstan tension raises. Bottom line is that tape must be properly stretched when traveling over heads. If not, then we get lack of sound, no recordings, etc.

I have the opportunity to buy a used m-9039 gauge....how do I tell if it is working without a cassette deck? Do I just have to put in new batteriea and push the arms upwards?
Think like this...gauge detects continuity thru head surface. If you put gauge on side to the metal 90 degree angle, leds must lights. If not, then its not 90 degree angle or detectrion switches are not in right position...and they needs to be readjusted.
Hello. Will there be another batch of your THG 801 clone gauges for sale? I really need one. I've contacted Willy for his WHS-300, but he no longer makes them, so my only hope is getting one from you. I am from Bulgaria, so at least we are close. Best Regards, Chris
What a great idea but, I am not going to send my RX 202 back to you for the conversion despite the temptation. after having you service two of my decks its time to listen to them playing music.
