Investing and personal finance educational videos with a hint of economics, posted regularly.
I'm a CFA and CFP professional working as an analyst for an investment management company in Ottawa. I'm a huge finance nerd and am passionate about the field - I think people lack the resources they need to make educated financial decisions, and hopefully this channel helps with that!

ofc you'll drop the pc line that "immigration is the solution, not the problem." You lack the courage to admit a higher population only fuels the fire.
Canada keep taxing the doctors that are business owners, and the people that have grocery stores ? And the people that have e restaurants. And people that have a cottage. 🤦♀️. So know if I want to sell I will be taxed to death. No person in there every loving mind would want to do business in Canada . After this . Find someone were else to open a pharmacy, or doctor office , as an investor I can’t catch a break in Canada. This is way no doctors want to start a practice in Canada .
Actually, almost everyone misses the point of this movie. It's actually an allegorical story about conception. The traders are all jizz and Bud is the sperm that fertilises the egg (Gordon Gekko). Basically the viewer is then left to decide whether life is actually worth living or not.
Ok, What did you do for work before retirement? How much did you earn? What did you save after spending? What did you invest in? If you required schooling, where did you get the time and money for this? What’s your plan for the future?
The vast majority of people won’t get rich from investing. Some lucky ones will. But, for everyone else the market can build a decent deal of wealth to live off of or retire off of. Now for people who are already rich the market can make them a lot more rich 8% on a couple of million is a lot of money.
I'm an admittedly lazy investor so I bought and held QYLD & QQQ and XYLD & VOO over a year to see the relative performance. Over this short time frame, it's clear that buying and holding the index funds is a better strategy.
A new metric to measure successes of current government's economic policies: the Game Stop dedicated video featuring the Plain Bagel gets 300k views in 1 month; the Game Stop video featuring the PM of Canada AND the Plain Bagel gets 170k views in 1 month
If the government was run properly they could reduce everyones taxes As it is were taxed to death and why should we be paying for child care forcing a partner to get a job or paying for soviet style housing when the government has over populated a country with nowhere near the infrastructure to support even half the population here in Canada Think about it in the last 6 months alone they have brought in 600,000 new immigrants ...thats the population of a huge city Yet theres been no new citys or power stations or water treatment plants being built that i know of in the past 20 years ?
Ok so I don't know shit about investing, but I believe I mostly try to learn from the absolute best investors and not RU-vidr's. No offense to you at all. I actually respect your channel unlike most. However with that being said. I feel like the SP500 is one of those stocks your just an idiot if you don't invest in it. How could you look at these companies and not invest. I feel like I have a natural way to see the world and stupid trends. I will absolutely be investing at least 20~30% of my portfolio in this stock. I won't even begin to detail what I plan to do with the rest of the 70%. I feel like alot of the people I watch on youtube overcomplicate things rather than stick with simple principles. You have all these charts all this bullshit that does indeed give you information if your a mathematician like Jim Simmons and have a team of scientist or some shit. I don't think you have to be a some savant to be successful at this. Time will only tell I suppose. Can't wait to see how I do in this field. I also recently stumbled across that Jim Cramer interview where he talks about controlling prices of the market by dumping alot of money in a stock to make other people want to buy it and shit like that. This field is honestly disgusting and has ALOT of disgusting people in it. I will just ignore them though and do my own thing, and lets see how it pans out for me : ) see ya in 10 years boys.
You are right. My strategy is to find as many good projects in presale phase as I can. Real money is there. Cyberopolis is my number one pick, and presale is almost over.
So if I write a hit song and get paid for that isn't that called passive income? I know music producer and writer who make income off songs they wrote decades ago...
All of the GameStop baggie comments have aged very poorly, as expected. If only they had enough self-awareness to understand just how misinformed they are.
