Here you'll find videos mostly consisting of FJ Cruiser-related content, from my off-road adventures in my personal FJ Cruiser to informational guides about different FJ topics meant to help people learn everything they can about FJs. I also have a handful of train videos since my other passion is railroading. I just hope you find what you like here and consider subscribing to the FJX2000 community.
If you want any info on either of my FJ Cruisers, look up the FJCruiserForums.com and search for FJX2000. I am on my second FJ now which is a 2008 Trail Teams Special Edition FJ Cruiser and the first one was a 2007 TRD Special Edition FJ Cruiser.
I have a FJ Cruiser with a manual transmission, and my friends advised me to disconnect the permanent four-wheel drive because the car will be lighter and have better fuel consumption. Do you advise me to do that?
i run 255/80r17 wildpeak at3w on my truck for the daily. i have some swampers in a 34x10.50/17 for the dedicated wheeling. both on stock 17x8 wheels. i am looking at the mt tires as they are the same size as the swampers. buuuut, i'l be doing 35x10/17 swampers next. the skinny tires work so well off road.
I am going to buy my 1st one in the following days...good job...but even your great assessment will not push me away..😂😂😂...thanks for this info is highly appreciated...Wish me luck!!
Feels weird replying to a 1 y/o video but in the market for MT FJ. Found a 2012 TT (red) with 122k miles for $24900. Is that too high or a good deal considering? 2 owner with one minor accident reported and no damage reported. Texas vehicle for all of its life and got photos of the undercarriage with no rust. Not even surface rust. I hate to buy without seeing in person but haven’t found one near me 2010+ in many months less than $30k.
Would it be the steering intermediate shaft? I have already replaced a bad rack and pinion, and my failed PSP. I thought the rack and pinion and PSP would fix the issues, but they didn't. The other issue I started having was that the steering would not return to the center. All new parts installed properly do not have any leaks anywhere. I am replacing the Steering intermediate shaft tomorrow. Hope this fixes the multiple steering issues. I recently found a video explaining what would happen if the intermediate shaft is failing. I am having all off the mentioned issues on the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v0xFn7G_G1s.htmlsi=PMPIR61Dapv_NyJ3

Nice to watch your video on 6 MT FJs. I really enjoy so much of these fantastic machines, that I never want to drive the AT version. I started driving my first 6MT in 2007, which was unfortunately totally destroyed by a idiot who ran through the red light & T bone my FJ. It was so strong that it sacrifced to save my life, allowed me to walk away without any injury. I then immediately ordered my second 6MT & got it in 2014. I recently drove it all the way up north to the Arctic Ocean via the famous Demspter Highway in July 2024. The truck just ran through all the tortures without any issue.
Now that you've had these for awhile, how do you like them compared to the Duratracs. How have they been performing overall and how were they on the mountain trails? Thinking about trying these on my FJ
Hey i have 2007 4x4 fj and i dont have any button except the back up sensors. In my reserach every fj comes with the atrac button. I dont have a rear diff lock but still on the forums they say that it comes with it. Any advice. Thank u
My FJwas built in 06 in Japan of course. I’ve been driving this thing for 17 years. First of all I don’t care about the windshield getting broken full coverage her in South Carolina. We have no deduction for that so I just get a new one . only three windshield replacing this time. I removed the spare tire and did a deletion kit thing years ago and I really like it . Makes the door light and I can see everything out the back , and watching TV on the FJ head unit I think that’s just ridiculous. I know some People like that but, really , if you have TV inside your FJ but you do not have a winch you’re a jacka$$ 😉 or you can not handle or negotiate being able to see the lights ahead of you at stoplight. You know it’s happening so like handle it. So all these little problems, they are being mentioned compared to having a 17-year-old vehicle that rides just as good as the day I got it because I do take care of it. It completely outweighs any cons compared to all the other vehicles you could get and how many you have gone through in the same time. The ownership of cruiser it’s just given a little bit of attention it last you a lifetime. Only thing I wish I could’ve gotten was a moonroof And if a true diesel was available I would’ve done that but that’s just me dreaming. I might have to sell mine just to go buy a new one in another country where they’re still selling them. Bring it home.
Worth to mention, open your old actuator if you find rust you must check the second part of the breathing hose which goes from the hard tube in the chassie to the breathing valve close to the battery, the problem with that it is tight and have tendency to break from the hard line side. This mistake cost me two actuators in less than a year. The hose must be replaced with a little longer and a strong hose. Thanks for the great content.
07 fj with 3 inch lift on 33's takes me, the wife, and 2 adventure dogs all over America, in all terrain, any trails, like a champ at 187000 miles and still runs like new. Never once been stuck. No hate on the Landcruiser but FJ all the way
VERY timely video. Thank you for this. I was in Telluride yesterday and went to the old power plant/Bridal Veil Falls on the 2-way section of Black Bear Pass trail. When i got to the top to turn around, i discovered that i only had 2 wheel drive. I had made it up in "2-low". 😂Luckily my rear locker still engaged. No more trails until i get i get this handled.
My 11 was sticking in 4th. Added Amsoil Severe Gear. Shifts like butter now. I’m not affiliated with the company, but that Severe Gear is pretty good chemically with its additives.
