Merveilleuse pédagogue, le bond en avant de ce jeune homme si talentueux est spectaculaire. Tout ce qu'elle dit sur la cadence est pertinent. Également une grande violoniste. Merci jeune homme, et merci Madame Fried !
I've always felt that performers' gestures should be there naturally, as the performer feels it and not a conscientious effort to be projected. A gester overreached, disrupts the spontanious, in the moment flow between the artist and the music. An alert audience can sense that.
It must be a horror for these teachers to have to end their lives like this, teaching talentless and deaf people. Out of every two hundred students, with a lot of luck, one will end up recording for D.G or playing on big stages. Congratulations to these patient teachers and masters.
This video is basically itself anti-science. It says "don't try to think for yourself, don't make mistakes, thinking and making mistakes are too costly, just obey.".
To be fair that's how it is in most of the classical music world, and in the world of fine art in general. This video was a huge help for me personally, because I am preparing this concerto for a competition, and I'll be judged by the same standards as those of the teacher here. It isn't great, but you need to follow tradition if you want to be successful in such a competitive field as classical performance.
Agreed! To come across the violinist is forced to use a sound that is too robust in passages that are supposed to be mysterious and dream-like. - Great playing though from both partners.
I like the format in which they teach here, they allow you to play the piece and pause you from time to time to tell you how to do it correctly or a better way of playing it. Could I get the name of both pieces?
