Any plans on making a video on the changing the fuel filter on the sportage? I hear there is alot of work to get to them which is making me think when mine was last done if ever.
Unfortunately not at the moment, I changed it before I started with youtube. You just have to remove the battery and the ECU. Then you're already at the diesel filter. Replace the filter and reassemble everything and then just start the engine until it runs. I have not found a way to bleed the system via OBD.
@@Turboladerschadendoes your sportage have the amp and sub from Kia? Mine does and going by the connections doesn’t look like it will work with mine. All tho I haven’t pulled it out to see the connection. But I hear the factory amp ones are completely different connection to the standard ones.
Some advice for people about to attempt these. The fixing at 1:18 in the video. Is not in wheel well, it’s just in front of it and in the corner of the front bumper. Took me a few minutes to find it myself. And bulb type is H27. No auto parts store could tell me what bulb was in it. So I had to go home and pull one out then go back to get bulbs.
@@emporiumtp3549 So for me, the only way out was to cut out the screws. but here in Austria we also have a lot of salt in winter and therefore a lot of rust. I first tried it with an impact wrench with a long extension and heat and finally even with a pneumatic chisel, but it didn't help. But I hope you have more luck ☺️
Really helpful video. Thanks. My only comment for others is that the tabs holding the mirror cover on are very fragile and can break when pushed down. One of mine broke but the cover fixes back on perfectly well with just one tab.
After seeing your comment and watching the video again. Your fog lamps have an extra bulb that you can see from the front. Mine only have the one. Which is good because I don’t have to remove the washer bottle to get the bulb out.
I have a Kia Sportage 2014, I have halogen projector headlights but can you fit LEDs to these projectors or is it only Halogens? Anyone done this or know. Thanks
@@GavstarLeo Hey, I've already done this on many other cars. The holder for the LED must actually fit and the dust cover must then still fit on it. Unfortunately, I can't say what it looks like on the sportage
@Turboladerschaden Okay thank you, very little information online regarding this as well. Like I say mine are the halogen projectors, but would a HID or LED bulb in a halogen projector cause any damage to the lens or are they perfectly fine to use 🙂
@@GavstarLeo So there should be no damage. You can actually convert any headlight to LED. The problem is usually the large heat sink that has to fit and that you sometimes need adapters for the mounting.
Hello, thank you for your comment. As in the video, it is correct. The arrow must point downwards. Otherwise, you can simply run the ventilation without the filter and feel with your hand in which direction the air is flowing.
Hey, I couldn't notice any difference. However, I have also installed a replacement radio. But I think the reception will always be better with a rod antenna.
Hello sir. I have this same vehicle. The rear tires are beginning to bald on the inner side. What parts will I need to replace? Thank you for your help sir. I tried looking up rear tire rods but couldn’t find anything.
@@georgepadilla2993 Hello, you don't necessarily have to replace anything. I would recommend a wheel alignment. The camber is then adjusted using the eccentric screws on the rear axle. After the alignment, the wheels should wear evenly again.
Really helpful video thank you. Turned out it was the ballast that was faulty on mine, Kia wanted £800 for a replacement!!... got one on the internet for £30, works perfectly now. :) Also just a warning on 1.19 where the four screws are removed, if it looks like it's not budging, don't force it. check either end and you might find like I did, a screw either side, tucked underneath screwed to the front grill, undo these and it will pop out easily. My car is a 2014 version.
Hey, thanks a lot and I'm very happy that it helped you and that everything works. Thanks for the tip it could also be because I have a 2012 with an old grill and I have exchanged it for a facelift aftermarket grill.
Thanks for your video , i have lost during removing from car Headlight Bulb what you have transfered to the new like we can see from 6:50 to 07:07 Thanks for your response
Hello, I must be very sorry to hear that. I have just searched the internet for a part number but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I am sorry. I would perhaps ask a Kia dealer if they can order this part. best regards
What a hassle just for replacing bulbs. I'm not sure if I want to do all that. Maybe some external bar spots might be in order in my case. Regardless, thanks for sharing and love from Florida USA ❤️ 🇺🇸.
Danke, Mann. So geil, daß es drei verschiedene Klammertypen an der Birne gibt und daß das Rad runter muss. Ich liebe BMW´s, aber das Schrauben an den Dingern....
Im not paying my mechanic enough. This looks ..ha ha.. simple enough, given that he has every special tool and technique and that nothing broke or snapped off along the way. More importantly, everything went back the way it should. Take my money, Mr. Mechanic, Youre doing just fine,
