what i like about both you and Dan, is that you inspire me. i especially like your takes on what metal music can be. for example Joao, that video you made on chugs and dissonant chords + the way you go about writing riffs ,have many great observations which helped me refine and significantly strengthen my comprehension of expression . it's like creating words for intangible concepts that don't exist yet , where every new addition permanently changes how you use existing words.
Brooo i had no fucking clue you had a podcast, no way haha, exited to watch this! edit: I really got into Erra when Drift hit, absolutely loved that record. That said, i never had the feeling these newer songs are completely different. I don't get how these longer time fans think House of Glass is not Erra sounding haha, i think it's the most Erra sounding song on the new record, or atleast it represents them in the best way i think. It's super heavy, super melodic, and as Jesse mentions it's an evolution in their rhythmic skills. I guess everyone has their own reception of things ofcourse, but i can safely say i fucking love the last record lol.
you sir, are a wonderful interviewer/journalist. you ask good questions that that feels the person wants to answer. instead of the routine ones. and really look into what makes a band tick and the motive behind everything. its really awesome.
