things id change is probably the livescope pole.. too flimsy.. also the 7 inch screen up front.. shouldve went with 2 10'' (or 9)... also hate how u need to put plexiglass in the back.. esp if it only last 1-3 years.. they shoudlve made the back higher..

One more question Mike. Did you get Alumatrac clamps with your boat? I didn’t get any with my Escape and I can’t find OEM clamps anywhere. A few aftermarket ones from Brocraft and Extreme Max, but nothing from Alumacraft.

@jonlively6137 11 дней назад
@@ReelLifeWithMikeI’m in Northern Ontario. I got it from an Alumacraft dealer. The story of this boat… it’s a 2021 Escape tiller, brand new stock. They said they had purchased a lot of them and this was their last one. Seems odd… three year old new stock, but it is new with full warranty. Seems like I’m getting screwed out of two mounts. Like they put them in another boat to sell.

@@jonlively6137 lol. I know they had a whole bunch during the Covid years that were on train cars waiting to be unloaded. That’s the story I heard. I was told by a Suzuki Tech that you dont have to change the ECM it will automatically adjust for fuel rate.
@ReelLifeWithMike
@ReelLifeWithMike 18 дней назад
Removing the restrictor plate will allow more air flow and the original ecu will accommodate and add its fuel ratio. The removal of the plate will jump it from 9.9 to about 15hp. The reason for the way is that not only will it regulate the air and fuel ratio, it’ll actually adjust the rpm and timing to get a true 20hp. If that makes sense. But yes by just removing the restrictor plate will be noticeable for power just not a true 20hp withought the ecu.
@Harold-m1z
@Harold-m1z 17 дней назад
@@ReelLifeWithMike yes I do agree with what you are saying also..I have watched other videos and a guy gave this # for ECM 33930-89L20 for 9.9 to 20. Mine is an electric start, are there two different ECM's for pull start and an electric? I don't want to purchase the wrong one.. And thanks again

Been using a Kast King Rover R60 with an Ugly Stick Catfish Special 2piece MH 9ft for a couple of seasons now and I can't find a better setup. That Ugly Stick loads up so well for Channel Cats, my $600 Musky setup can't compare to it. You don't realize how much of a difference a flexible rod makes with Channels Cats until you try one. If a $75 rod (use whatever reel you want) is in your budget I would highly recommend heading down over to LOTW Outfitters or Cabela's and picking one up.

Sounds like you need some better hooks. I lost a few there this year on 30 pound mono above the swivel. The ends were shredded, I think from dragging on zebra mussels down there. I now use 50 pound mono for my leader and for a couple of feet above the swivel and weight That seems to be able to stand the mussels better

@@paulchapman8759 yeah it’s strange. Have never had issues like we had that day and used them for the catfish derby’s last year. I think with that 3-4mph current may have added just a bit more pressure on the line for sure.
