I really hate how spaghetti code the game is as well, like in the new patch they changed parrying which got rid of a lot of airwalker combos especially Aria who now feels like you can only do like 3 combos now which require no movement only button presses. I ain't touching this game until ranked comes out now. But it is fun to watch rick combo clips though

The only reason to keep playing is lvl up the batle pass, that rift event for people who play beta and have like 20k figther currency is wortless, even more whit the trashy sistem of gems, i start to miss that clunky arcade mode of the beta because u can pass all the dificultys whitout a lvl block or something like that

I absolutely think that the game takes more skill now. Even pro players were saying that with the old system it felt like there was almost no punishing wiffs, disadvantage was a joke, so much of the game was just throwing out attacks and hoping that one of them would hit so that you could capitalize on it. Some of the details with the new system are off but I think it’s overall a positive change for the game.

@@ODwaalO I believe staling is still in the game, they’ve just hidden it in the same way as smash bros. You can test this pretty easily. Go into training, pick Jason and set the bot to 100 damage. Spam fully charged up tilts. Shaggy will stop dying after about the 3rd one
I rrally feel like the game takes more skill nownthan before. Tracking was near impossible, dodges were way too strong, the characters were even more unbalanced than they are now except for right at the end of beta. I dont see how grinding makes you wamt to play less outside of burnout. Amd in the fordt place you should only play games for fun. If your grinding rifts cuz you want something instead of for fun of course your already burnt out. Its a fighting gane not your 9 to 5. Play it when it sounds fun. If it doesn't sound fun don't touch it.
I agree that dodge meter’s a good thing because betas dodge system was trash but if you take betas speed and give it dodge meter I believe the game would be better, we have less features on launch than in beta, we had ranked in beta, leaderboards in beta, so much stuff is worse, oh and about rifts I forgot to talk about it in the video but I think rifts having to bring in a teammate and play specific characters to 100% rifts is ridiculous when you also take in what I said earlier about all gold being put towards perk currency and not character currency and how hard it is to unlock new characters for new players rifts is a cool idea and is great but just not for me and in my opinion has been poorly executed
Grinding makes me want to play less when i have no real goal & no idea if/when we’re getting ranked and leaderboards back I definitely see myself coming back in the future if ranked drops
@@ODwaalO I guess this makes sense. I play fighting games to see how I stack up against others so usually just playing the game is my motivation. I'm trying to get as good as i can and best way to do that is by playing. I'm definitely down to join any tournaments you . might host. I don't think I'm all that good but I do enjoy competing. When I have access to multiversus again I'll be down
@@drdepression4605 What you said about seeing how you stack up against others is a good motivation for sure and it was my main motivation as well so if i do tournaments again which im sure I will when i come back I'd love to have you play in it i'd say the largest reason I'm really taking a step back is because im going on a plane and just wont be able to host tournaments while im away
@@drdepression4605 valid, but if you dont grind it you cant unlock everything so its either you burnout unlocking everything or you take breaks and come back refreshed with little unlocked both are valid arguments imo
The first time I grinded this entire season was Yesterday, where I finished 4 rifts. I have not spent more than an hour each day (I even had a break for a week) on this game and I am on tier 67 of the battle pass, the only money I have spent on the game is to get the battle pass since I didn't play the beta. Literally, the only thing that seems remotely grindy is fighter currency, which to be honest, 100% needs to be given out more, but I've been fine with a Shaggy, Harley and Rick trio since launch, only now (since I need Lebron for certain rifts) have I noticed that I need more characters than I have.
I feel dumb because I saved up a lot (gold) too but I bought all the characters and played with everybody at the very end before the beta closed. I should have bought the Fred thing but instead I got over 250 K currency I don’t even need with like 8K fighter currency😂

@@ODwaalO true story my brother is one of those people because he got excited seeing me play. He downloaded it for the first time like three days ago. He got two characters unlocked so far maybe three and he works 16 hours a day so it’s like you can do it, but I definitely understand.
@@ODwaalO getting him agent Smith is the hard part because of the time constraint but just a quick heads up if you wanted him you can play with somebody who got close or unlocked him and just play the bosses and it gives you the event bonus quick tip for everybody who wanted them you know I’m gonna make sure my brother gets them when he gets off he has like eight more to go

@@ODwaalO he’s already told me when he noticed that he was ranked up in the battle pass. He bought it, but he was telling me he wasn’t sure if it was even worth buying because he wasn’t sure if he could grind it up in time but then I told him he just has to do dailies and logout, and now he has Jason so it’s like I definitely feel it for the newer people. It’s kind of tough. I’m glad they made the training to where you can play with everyone too bad it’s not co-op though.
im with you, the game feels like its somewhat up in the air whether your gonna have a good game due to how wonky the game feels or how some characters have a extremely hard time getting KOs while some have it so damn easy n it just makes me gravitate towards the strong ones.

Attack decay is already in the game they just don't have a visual to tell you when it happens, if you spam the same attack the knockback and damage decreases significantly
If I even host another, no promises though bc I have a LOT of disappointment with multiversus & busy working on dev my own PlatformFighter (Yes.. my own..) but I’ll post abt it once I finish uploading the $69 vods
