Hello. The RS was obviously the final incarnation of the Daytona. Obviously the bodywork is different to the earlier models and is the same as the Sport inj apart from the fairing which differs slightly to accommodate the 4V rocker covers. The RS benefits from the WP suspension and later spec wheels as does the Sport inj if I'm correct? The internals were beefed up with steel rods and forged pistons, and you're correct this bike runs an aftermarket race exhaust system, K and N air filters, plus ecu remapping, which improves the experience vastly over standard. The engine breather system and lubricaton looks different to earlier models, but you'd probably have to put the bikes beside each other to spot the difference. I'm sure there's a few other minor differences which I haven't mentioned, possibly other more knowledgeable owners might care to pitch in with information? Hope this helps. 👌 What year Sport is your bike?
@@markhemingway1063 I just bought it last week, the Black/bronze 1997 IE. 7000kms, so low low kms..........My first Guzzi, but I fell in love when a mate bought one around 1996............ I love all Italian bikes. I'll put a walk around video up on my channel in the next few weeks...........
Thanks for the interest and apologies for the delay in responding....I sourced the seat cover via ebay, and think it was a Polish supplier. Can't remember if they produce a Griso option, but try a search and see?
Thank you for the compliment.....Yes, I look after everything mechanical. If anything major I afford the luxury of a very clever engineering friend that can accomplish everything you can throw at him! That usually is a prerequisite for my Integrale rather than two wheeled exotica....
Thanks for the compliment.... The riding experience? Californias are a relexed affair. Although antiquated in design they handle surprisingly well. They wobble a bit when pushed on, but that's not what they are about.... Plod on at decent pace and enjoy the views as you plod on. 👌
It will remain happily in the North of England unless I was to sell it any time in the future..... I doubt that will happen for a long time as it is a treasured part of the family. 👌
@@xoseaserestevezalvarez6242 Given condition and knowledge of history 48000 euros.... It's an exceptionally good Integrale, never welded, all original glass apart from windscreen, definitely no rear spoiler and the best driver's option, above and beyond the Evolutions.... The 16v is very underrated in my opinion!
Thanks for the kind comment......The RS/Sporti bikes might be prescribed to hold the Marmite effect upon onlookers? You either love them or hate them! It's the sound that bewitches me above and beyond the exterior though.....Wind it on past the 4500 mark and the gruff bark morphs into something reserved only for a Pavarotti concert. Something I will never tire of!!!
Thanks for the comment, and yes I think so too! The RS certainly can't rival some of the other sports offering alternatives of the time for ultimate pace or agility..... But that's not the point! What it does ensure is a VERY exclusive sensation that only a very chosen few will be lucky enough to engage. A proper bike which responds purely to rider input. The harder you try, the greater the reward! 😋
Was Sooooo close to buying an 1100i new, but ended up with a considerably cheaper VTR 1000 Honda at the time.... The Daytona was simply a dream bike at the time! 😜
Sold my 1100,injection,with terminolis, and I bought a mv, 1000s,but to extreme, not comfortable, but beautiful, and stunning acceleration, fancy a ghezzi Bryan, best wishes mike
