Love the Lake Barett vids takes me right back to my childhood. One of the experiences I’ll never forget. Led down to the lake by Native Indians on horseback as the sun came up. Monster bluegill & panfish if you ever break out the crappie jigs
Obviously I’m biased growing up in socal but I truly believe this is the funnest type of fishing in the states. Especially if you grew up largemouth fishing etc
WHATS THE WATER TEMP? MAYBE THEY USE THE STRUCTURE AS A SPAWNING AREA ? I WAS WORKING SPOTTIES , THEN IT CHANGED TO SANDBASS FOR 2 WEEKS SOLID IN A SPOT THEN IT WENT DEAD
Great video Lane, very informative. One question, on the first 2 outfits you used the kicker clips but not with the iron. Have you used the clip with the iron? Seems that it might swim a little better then a direct tie. Or is it just more of a convenience for quick bait change out?
I personally prefer the direct tie for the surface iron. I have noticed some jigs swim better with a clip, and some without.. I’d say 90% of the time I don’t use a clip with the plug, 10% I will. It’s just my preference, but it’s worth trying both!
Well, Young Grasshopper!!! I see you wear it well...Your Passion for fishing, When you have the opportunity and the time to fish like you do, gotta thank Daddy Warbaits for that!😁
I have been using these Lume Cube LEDS for 8 years. There might be a better light these days, like their flat panels. Check the link: lumecube.com/products/lume-cube-2-0-waterproof-led-2-pack
Sometimes yeah, usually the lightest I’ll go for calicos on these setups is 1/2oz. I only keep the 400 for the pulling power. Anything lighter than that, I’ll size down the rod and reel 🙌
Lane, thank you for sharing. I’ve learned so much from you and Afran and I pay thanks by having a tackle box full of Warbaits jigs, warrigs, spinner and buzz baits. There are many other alternatives, but I show gratitude for the knowledge by buying the product. Afran, send me a couple of big Warbaits decals for my yak!😂
