Just so I’m aware and this is a great tutorial by the way. When I choose the template link they are able to go in and edit on their own right?? I’m making invitation templates so I want them to edit for sure
I think you might be sharing the wrong link. You need to share the template link and not the collaboration link as this will give them access to your original
Im thinking of a kids birthday party niche, invitations, water and chocolate bar labels, thank you tags for party packs, personalised cake and cupcake toppers? Do you think that would sell well?
There could be many reasons, normally Etsy will send you an email to let you know the cause. If they haven't then reaching out to Etsy support would be a good idea.
Do not sell on Etsy...There is no protection for sellers returned items. Etsy Team gave the buyer my Gucci bag plus a full refund..Etsy told the buyer no need to return the seller's Gucci bag back to her....Etsy does not take off Negative reviews!! Stay away from this Etsy..They are not to be trusted!
The template link allows you to share a design template with others so they can use it as a starting point for their own creations. When someone clicks on the template link, they can edit the design without affecting the original template. A Pdf can be shared but not edited.
Make sure you are dragging the photo directly over the frame until the frame's borders highlight. Only then will the photo snap into place. Also ensure the photo is in a format that Canva supports, such as JPG, PNG, or SVG. Other formats might not work properly.
Hi jess, just wondering if you design a digital cartoon or digital art though sketchbook app or procreate, can you then upload it on canva and create your own templates with canvas free elements then sell the final product on etsy as a digital product such as an invitation or wall art?
Jessa, you show the size of the paper as 11ins wide & 8.5 ins high but should those sizes be reversed, to 8.5 wide & 11ins high? The standard size for Letter.
The standard size for a Letter paper in the United States is 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches high when used in portrait orientation. If you reverse these dimensions to 11 inches wide by 8.5 inches high, you are using the paper in landscape orientation.

Hi Jessa, thanks for your video. So if i am creating coloring pages printables where the customer only needs to download and print them at home, cant i use pro elements in those?
I stay clear from Canva pro elements as they keep changing their terms and conditions at the moment you can sell templates under certain conditions. The templates need to be an original design. You can use a combination of Free and Pro Content. You can only use Pro Content in template designs if they’re shared as Canva template links (e.g. a template that brings your customers back to design in Canva but this means the customer will have the cost). You can’t sell templates with Pro Content as a PDF or other file types, whether flattened or not. Verify that the board settings haven't restricted the use of checklists. Some settings or power-ups might interfere with standard functionalities.There might also be a browser-specific issue. Try accessing Trello from a different browser or device to see if the problem persists.

Thanks so much for the video Jessa. Do you know what the quality of the printed books is like? I noticed that in Australia the hardcover option isn't available which is a shame.
I am an artist and perfectionist with a bit of storytelling mixed in... I am always creating or writing content, but unfortunately most of it is in my notebooks, archives, camera roll and storage, but don't make it into my store because they are not "done" yet, in other words, not "perfect" and need further polishing. Most of my content stays in this category and status. I am working on changing my lifelong habits for hoarding my creative content and little by little submitting it to various platforms online. You didn't mention the "researcher" - I am also always in research mode, learning how to act on my ideas and improve my skills, which keeps me from implementing until I have exhausted my resources and explored my options. I am a mess... a work in progress
Does your template creator society include game bundles for events like baby showers and weddings? I see so many etsy listings doing 80-100 game bundles and wonder how to do this quickly
Thank you for this tutorial! I have a quick question for clarification: Shouldn't the left margin be larger (0.375'' for a book up to 150 pages) than the right margin on odd-numbered pages and the right margin larger on even-numbered pages to ensure proper printing alignment and maintain centering? Or is it acceptable to keep all the content centered in the manuscript?
Laura recommends planners are around 120 pages. So I think if you stay with in this guideline it should be fine, but I am also only just starting to fiddle with KDP myself. I uploaded my first planner yesterday it is waiting on approval, so as I learn i will be able to help more 🙂
If you search for "KDP Set Trim Size, Bleed, and Margins" it leads you to a page with exact measurements for your book size - just scroll down to the bottom :)
I don’t mean to be dense, but I have no idea what you created with those pages. I’m vaguely familiar with KDP, but I’m not sure what I would do with what you created. You move so quickly and the print is so small, I have no idea what the prompts said and were for. Thanks!
