Thank you so much for being transparent, showing your ACTUAL store and explaining that "most products won't sell." I hate the videos that make it seem like you just have to slap a few images together into a "pack" and you'll be making $40,000/mo. This is top-notch!
Thanks for the video Jessa. I'm puzzled by the idea of junk journals. Do people write in them like you would a "normal" journal? Are they given as gifts or are people buying them for themselves? Thanks again for the video and sharing your results.
Junk journals are like a scrapbook for recycled items/things/images that interest you. Usually, people put images/papers/things they've collected from posters/calendars/concerts/magazines together as a collage. It used to be a way to put the beautiful "junk" people collected into a recycled journal for creativity, memories, and inspiration.
Hi, Jessa! Thank you for the video! I have a question: Do you generate the entire junk journal page using an AI tool, or do you create it by combining different elements (images) generated with an AI tool?
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and thats a great question - you absolutely can generate a full graphic, a lot of them I manually create though so Ill do the background then create the main graphics seperately and drop it in :)
This was a great question! I was wondering in the TCS do you cover AI? I was wondering if, by using AI, we give up our rights to what we create with it?
Jessa, you show the size of the paper as 11ins wide & 8.5 ins high but should those sizes be reversed, to 8.5 wide & 11ins high? The standard size for Letter.
The standard size for a Letter paper in the United States is 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches high when used in portrait orientation. If you reverse these dimensions to 11 inches wide by 8.5 inches high, you are using the paper in landscape orientation.
Hi Jessa, Quick question, how would we make the borders with border in the middle? I’ve been trying on Midjourney with no luck. Also thanks for mini course I’ve been using the borders you’ve included in the meantime. 😊
You might have to refine the Prompt, If the results aren’t exactly what you want, refine the prompt incrementally by focusing on specific aspects that need improvement, such as "increase the thickness of the border and ensure the middle line is clear and centered.
I noticed the message about checking the terms of the sellers before buying clip art. If I purchase the items and the POD license, doesn't this give me the right to use them as I see fit? I have sooo much clipart I've purchased over the last two years, and it will be sooo difficult to track down the sellers' information. Thank you!
It really depends on the seller unfortunately, Here's a link for Creative Fabrica www.creativefabrica.com/the-artistry/print-on-demand/print-on-demand-licenses-an-overview/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwjqWzBhAqEiwAQmtgTwB4zjiyrwsr9gpXvSzOlAnQyyX5Vm2WPkiGxa1UPKxgJzUqe0TF3BoCqNkQAvD_BwE
yes wonderful but how much did you spend on advertising on Etsy ... I see you advertise on Etsy all the time. What is your budget for advertising. Then that will tell the entire story. Thanks for your awesome videos. :)
Thank you so much for watching thats a great question, I currently have my ad spend for this store set to $10 a day on 14 products mainly advertising new products, but the sweet spot is different for every store and you just have to play around and test it to see what works. I use ads on Etsy mainly as a strategy to warm up listings to give them a head start ranking organically
Great question! I wouldn't say they dropped, that day I had a couple of big multiple product orders so when that happens it can bump up the revenue significantly.
LOL well good luck with your shop, but if you tell everyone else how exactly to do what you do, be prepared not to make even half as much in a year time.
More than half the people have this mindset and does nothing while another 20% start but gets frustrated… lazy…. Unmotivated and don’t finish. Then it leaves the other 30% which has thousands of sub niches to choose from. Don’t try to discourage others because you may be a pessimist. 😊
That's not true because many people can start an Etsy shop but not many stick with it and not many have the resources and experiences to start and continue to make a successful store. Plus Jessa has other businesses and Etsy isn't just her only income. She has membership that also brings in a lot of income. She has 16 Etsy stores too so by her sharing it doesn't affect her since she's well ahead in the game and has lots of experiences and has other stream of income.
