We're Bob and Hillary from Vancaskeys, with the goal of chasing freedom in our 40s and beyond! We are a couple that decided to buy a Class B Van 3 years ago and see what the hype was all about. Little did we know that RV life is not always rainbows and butterflies. We have had to learn so much the hard way. Hence, we named our Thor Tellaro Mr. Lemon. He earned his name 😂 But now it is time to make Lemonade out of Mr. Lemon!
Thanks so much for coming along on our journey. Say hi in the comments-we love meeting you all!
I would have used Gorilla Tape as Temp Fix?? At least to run engine to charge batteries. Oh, saw more of the video and also see the belt issue. All is well. We stayed in the same RV Park last year in our van. Very nice. Safe Travels!!
I'm a new subscriber although I've been watching for a while. Like the van tours and love the mishaps(or should I call them adventures?). Also love the positive attitudes and the video editing continues to improve. Hope your lil vaca finishined uneventfully. Cheers
sounds like the van has a 2nd alternator("underhood generator"). This is a common issue with those and Promasters. I believe Nations Alternators has remedied this issue on newer models but maybe this company used something else. Note to anyone who finds themselves with a hose issue on the road....you dont need the factory part. You can find coolant hose like this at auto parts stores and simply cut it to size. Shocking that the tech didn't know that.
This van is absolutely fantastic. For anyone who lives or travels where it is HOT they should have twice the batteries on board. Also never leave home without a full charge. On the bright side this problem made a very entertaining story. Your video work is top notch, where did you get these massive skills?
Yeah, we should not have left without a full charge, but we thought we were going straight to an RV Campsite, LOL. You live and learn 😂 It was a fun journey! Thanks for the love for the video :) Hillary edits all our videos.
Yep!!! It’s all about the journey! We never would have known about the actual Noovo customer service had we not needed to us it. It’s all how you look at it. 😃
I'm really loving these vans. Happy to be here. Has one. They make some really good videos living in their van. Noovo is definitely a contender for me.
I'm kind of thinking your way Hillary. Could it just be you and Bob with the bad luck. So far, your track record so far is Mr. Lemon and now the NOOVO, and don't forget the paddle boat 🤣at the Harvest Host that the steering Handle came off.
This is not the 1st time I've heard of coolant issues on Promasters, I thought they had this issue taken care of but I guess this could've been a fluke. What concerns me is lack of basic parts like belts or hoses, that should be available at any decent automotive supply store but this van being a Fiat Ducato maybe parts are harder to come by. I recently bought a 2017 Roadtrek 190 on a Chevy 3500 chassis partly because of mechanics that can work on them but also parts availability. Good luck!
Our guess is maybe they had to follow protocol and it’s under the ram warranty. Not sure they have technicians that work for them. I think they only work on the house part of the van.
😮 6 months ago I tried to explain to you all that you needed to change your attitude because it's affecting everything in your life😮 do your homework and learn about the law of attraction because everything on the planet including us has a bandwidth frequency that's how everything happens in your life😮 you all talked endlessly about your vehicle breaking down you even call it names you tell stories constantly about broken down vehicles😮 why would you think anything would change with a different vehicle😮 your vibration didn't change😮 go on here to RU-vid and start watching some videos of Abraham Hicks explaining how the Law of Attraction works and you can thank me later😂
NOOVO, drive across the country in the lap of luxury ... or park in the parking lot of a Flying J ... in the lap of luxury, NOOVO, come get one😉 Y'all know this is the spirit of Mr. Lemon sabotaging this van out of jealousy, right? 😅 1983 John Carpenter movie Christine
I think Mr. Lemon should be investigated on suspicion of foul play. Is there video? 😮😂 Seriously, an unfortunate situation, but very good demonstration of how Noovo responds to breakdowns. (We already knew how well you guys respond and respond and respond.) 😉
😂🤣😂 We were impressed with the fast response time from Noovo. And what we didn't say was having this happen on a Friday night in a small town made it so much more difficult for Noovo to find a Tech to come look at it. But they didn't give up...they called everyone in town. And Dylan was the tech that graciously said he would come look at it. And he was there in 30 minutes. It was not an easy feat. We were impressed all around with the experience.
You two are the cutest. Glad you got back on the road and safe! We actually own a ‘22 Thor Tranquility 19L and although we have had quite our share of issues - after much patience, we’re amazed that Thor actually resolved all of our issues! Your channel perhaps is motivating Thor to step it up. 🙏🏼 anyways - we enjoy your videos! God bless you both and your adventures!
It's got to be Bob that is the problem. 🤣 Hindsight is always 20/20. I bet next time you guys stop for groceries. Maybe you should rename channel the VanCrazeskeys. Maybe not my best idea.
Not to be too negative, but I follow a few mechanics on RU-vid and these types of problems are more frequent in the promaster vans with the 3.6 l engine. Also some others like the dodge/chrysler minivans.
Calm and collective. With your legendary adventures with Mr. Lemon, nothing will faze you and your travels. Great that the Noovo team took care of repairing the van, not their fault, since this is a NEW VAN from RAM. Most new owners would have freaked out by now and call it quits. Keep up the Vancaskey's Lemon Adventures, without Mr. Lemon this time!
Salon (the lounge area on a boat). Did y'all say that they had experience in boats on another video? Maybe it wasn't y'all but I remember someone saying that this company had designers that used to work in maritime careers.
You can't call any of the 3 popular vans "reliable". Thats just reality. I love when people believe a Sprinter is reliable and then buy one and face the reality.
@@CS30123 We have a 2006 T1N Sprinter chassis on our Winnebago View Class C. I wouldn't call it "reliable" either, although we do now have 120k on it, 70k by us. Turbo resonator, charge air cooler hose and added a second fan, but then that's been six years.
Seems like the location of the second alternator is an issue. At least the able to get the belt. Other tubers have had problem too. If your hooked to shore power the transfer switch .should supply 120 volts to everything.
Before your next adventure always look in the mirror the night before. If either or both of you have a black cloud hanging over your head, stay home. When the black cloud disappears, you are good to go. You are correct, it could be you!!
Living in a van down by the river!😂 Oh gosh you two are so chill. My husband would've been screaming like he always did everytime something went wrong. As always, fun with Bob and Hilary!
