I have been told "thank you for your service" so many times that I am hesitant to divulge that I am a veteran, anymore. It is as cliche as "thoughts and prayers". Something people say that has been said so many times that it has lost its original meaning.
Some of us know what it means and truly mean it when we say it. I have my freedom because of those who served, those who are serving, and those who will be serving. I for one appreciate that-and you.
@@P_RO_ Fair enough. Some of us (you) appreciate hearing "thank you for your service". Others of us (me) are sick and tired of hearing it. To each their own.
Congratulations Sentinel! Sorry your loved one was trying in vain to do something on their phone without internet access and not being in the moment and showing respect
Just out of curiosity, I tried the glide step they do. It’s not easy, especially with the step count, the length of steps, the pivots. Holy crap that alone demands a ton of mental focus. On top of that, they’re all on the watch for the inevitable moment when one of the visitors breaks decorum or steps where they shouldn’t. Tons of respect for the sentinels
He should have been meritoriously promoted to SGT for faithfully executing 2 years of service to being a Tomb Guard. If he’s still serving he might be a SSG by now....
Forever Humbled, as these brave men and women that are buried here and all National Cemeteries. Gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN! As in what I learned from WAA (Wreathes Across America) SAY THEIR NAMES!
It suck's when you spend many years wishing careless bastards would give a damn, but then they still don't ever, ever, ever really give a shit about your life and what's mattered to you in life. It suck's being tossed into a garbage container because of the circumstances I've been forced to have to live under. It suck's when your best friend's aren't ever there.
