I have just finished watching a few videos of the guards on duty, the changing guard ceremonies and this man's ceremony. This was my first exposure to the entire Tomb of Unknown Soldier experience. I am now full of pride for my country and the traditions of this honorable unit. God Bless America and the soldiers who take part in this assignment!

He should have been meritoriously promoted to SGT for faithfully executing 2 years of service to being a Tomb Guard. If he’s still serving he might be a SSG by now....

Who knows? It looks like she's trying to get the camera app working; At one point, we can see her camera app with a gray screen where the shot should be in, and numerous other times we see her navigating her home screen and reappearing at the same gray screen.
I watched a special on the guard and most soldiers serve less than a year, sometimes just a few months, as sentinel and that's not counting those who don't make it through to that level. Twenty months is an extremely long time.
@@tommyodonnell9 According to the Tomb Guard Society website, the average tour of duty as a tomb guard is 18 months. They must serve at least nine months to earn the badge.
It suck's when you spend many years wishing careless bastards would give a damn, but then they still don't ever, ever, ever really give a shit about your life and what's mattered to you in life. It suck's being tossed into a garbage container because of the circumstances I've been forced to have to live under. It suck's when your best friend's aren't ever there.
