People are gonna yell at me for saying this, but thank god Popcap got bought out by EA. We wouldn’t have ended up with the wonderful, polished (albeit VERY monetized) sequel for Pvz we have today that has created so many memories and fantastic music over the years if it wasn’t for that purchase. Small companies being bought out by bigger ones isn’t always a bad thing. And although I’m not the biggest fan of EA, the fact that it got bought out by a big studio in general was really good for the franchise. It could have been bought by Nintendo in some alternate universe, but either way the game became a truly worthy successor to the original in my eyes all thanks to it being bought out. Except for Pvz3. That game sucks.
