Andrea is a former music biz professional who spent much of her career promoting artists at Rounder Records and Q Division Records, as well as booking shows at venues in her hometown of Boston, before deciding to take a turn in the spotlight herself.
When they're not working on their own music, Owen and Andrea are also a creative/design/audio/video production team for hire, and have produced hundreds of music videos, websites, theme songs, voiceovers, animations, CD art, gig posters and more, for a wide variety of clients. Absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful, utterly beyond brilliant! The most healing, revitalizing, restorative experience I’ve ever heard and seen. The words, the voices, the images, the messages perfectly combine to flood the heart and soul with incredible love and light. Overwhelming gratitude for creating and sharing this🙏
Thanks so much! :) We can't take any credit for the words or melody, but we had a lot of fun creating our version, musically and visually. Please do check out the original at thelostwords.org
LOve it. Start in Leith with this tune, walk 500 hundred miles. Meet up with CityRocks in Eastern Europe? No voting for politicians, no violence, no smashing of windows from shops. Could we, the people make to it our friends in Siberia? It's about 5700 miles, even get the Village people on our way through France :)
Noted! We will ramp up the dramatic ending a couple of notches next time and get rid of that excess wisp. Seriously though, comments always appreciated, and thank you for listening. :)
I didn't know how this would play out, because acting out the story of a song can come across cheesy, but both the singing and acting is done very well. It does this iconic song well.
We have occasionally been guilty of cheesiness, but always try to hit the vibe of the song as best we can if we're acting a lyric out. Glad you like it, and thanks for the kind words! :)
I remember one of my teachers playing this song to the class in the early 70s during a lesson on American History. I'm from the UK, but the point my teacher was trying to make was how this song reflected Paul Simon's sense that his country was going in the wrong direction at that time. I was fortunate enough to see Paul on his last UK tour, and this was one of the handful of S&G songs he played. I think this is a classic, which is probably an over used phrase, but you guys nailed it. Thank you.
Thanks so much! Yes, it definitely has that vibe about it. One of us is in the UK and the other in the US, so we came at it from both sides of the pond - outsider's and insider's perspectives.
Hey, great video & cover & smells a lot better than the cat food in my bank account! Found you guys with Sunshine On Mars & love your style & taste in music, thank you for the song today & the spooks & smiles, Happy Halloween & have a Mad Monster Party! 🖤🎃🧡👻🖤🦇🧡🕷🖤🕸🧡🧟♀🖤🧟♂🧡👻🖤🧛♂🧡🧛♀🖤👺🧡👹🖤👽🧡🛸🖤☠🧡👻🖤👾🧡💀🖤👻🧡🎶💗🔥😊🙏
Steady on Owen. I think I was refering to those in the Music room that were bashing the Pianos with anything but their hands. I used to hit it with the side of my head and tell the kids I was playing by ear. Great days in that Music room. Incidentally we had a reunion at Holy Cross last week and a book of ity's History was lacking in the Music of The 80's when we produced those famous cassettes and the Rock Nativity, nurtured creativity of which you were one of our stars. Keep up the great work and get on stage as a celebration of The Moody Blues. Saw Justin Hayward in War of The Worlds at the Manchester Arena and The full Band a couple of times at the Apollo. Great to see you still producing great Music and thanks to the link. You are much more talented than I am and your production is so professional. I am proud to have been involved teaching you but I'm sure you would have succeeded whoever taught you as you have that natural gift. Hope your fingers recover quickly so you can carry on bashing the Piano. Mustn't neglect your Musical partner either who gave a great performance. Question of Balance was the first album my wife bought for me back in the day so a nice bit of nostalgia thrown in.
*Owen blushes* ;) Many thanks, and great days indeed - and I remember you "playing by ear". I think I still have "Hour Tape" and "HC Christmas"! I last saw JH in 2019 I think, doing a solo tour, which was excellent, and in WotW many moons ago when it came to Aberdeen.
@@AeonWanderers I forgot to mention I've bought the poor man's melotron. It's a guitar pedal / keyboard with a recreation of the original sounds. It's good but not a patch on the original but I may be able to tweak it with practice and added studio effects.
