Wait, those karts were new 9 months ago? I went a month ago and they were awful, poorly maintained tractors. Drove okay but didn't sound healthy, mine ingested engine oil and left a huge cloud of smoke for like 6 laps.
I went there the other day: 6 - the engine was dying on every corner 8- has 1.5 hp max 23 - not the worst but can`t keep up with everyone else 24 - generally bad 15 - was not bad but will always blow a puff of smoke after coming down the ramp after going hard for a while I can`t remember if it was kart 6 or 8, it was violently shaking. even in a straight line, it`s almost undriveable. Most of them ar shit right now, hopefully they replace them soon. I think the best are 3, 4, 22, 14 ... That`s all I remember off the top of my head
50 pecen pass, had people just ramp them out of the way and nothing was done no time penalty was given, i got one for loading ,dont no y as i was no were near,and as for weight. think everones kit is different so, think people shud be weighted in sorts and tshirt and if you dont make the weight category.shud be up to 75 lightweight and 76 and over up to 85 for middle an 87 up for heavy as there is to much weight gap for middle weight , i was 78kg and 84 with kit on ,i was the heavyist in my class .had the kart cut out in qualifying they put choke on to get it going again and left it on had no power at all harf a lap in ,the kart had been reported but they still give it me ,they give all the good karts to the people that was well none.i had a kart with a hole in the front right tyre ,i showed the lad in the pits and he said its normal and showed him they was no brake and just shrugged his solders .
Seeing lots of videos about how badly everything’s been ran this year. But then again, I have never agreed with how Kart Champs or BIKC has been ran ever since they came about. I race to have a fun time, I don’t even get involved in competitions because they just cause major headaches to the vast majority (hence why this video has so many points being made). Only competition id be remotely interested in is BRKC because I think it’s ran very well, and by people who know what it’s like to get involved in badly ran events 😅

They only left once he was told he couldn’t race and also his mum didn’t start sitting infront of the entrance to the track so no one could race either You were also talking about how it doesn’t say that all drivers should be weighed during sign in and the first line of the screen shot of the rules clearly says “all drivers must complete a mandatory weigh in during sign in” Also your saying that all of the overtakes from Ryan sheppard were what you think is illegal yet all of your overtakes look exactly the same or worse Get ur facts straight before accusing people of things they haven’t done

I was literally standing right there, I haven't accused anyone of anything, literally stating what I saw right infront of my face, with many people who were also there agreeing too, funny that isn't it. Idk why your lying about what happened at the weigh in no one tried to make everyone or sat on a camping chair in the pits and idk why u would expect me to be fine with them getting there rules wrong ofc I’m gonna protest it
There was some drama up in Stockton aswell, lots of delays due to staff checking cameras, seems weird that in some places they take protests seriously and other places they don’t
I wouldn't say they weren't being taken seriously, however we were STRONGLY advised not to make them, because it would delay everyone else..... and the whole 'we've already reviewed it at that point so it would be mostly pointless' (not in those exact words) so yea, no official protests were made during middleweights at all as far as I know.....
Well done to all who raced, especially my Docklands track mates. Shame to hear we had a couple of cheaters amongst the ranks. Hopefully they will learn their lessons for future bikc. Look forward to see you all back at Docklands soon 👌🏻
Great video mate. Despite the drama it was an awesome day out. Final race was great, gutted to have lost so many positions, mistakes and leaving a barn door sized hole for you isn’t one of my proudest karting moments 😂 Would have liked to have more of a battle but a lap or two after you got past the kart definitely felt like it was loosing power. Either way, think we both achieved our goal and no awkward silences on the way home. Bring on next year 💪🏻
Oh the drama! Those people were well out of order doing what they did. I even missed my 6 o clock train and I had to buy another ticket! 😤 I’m kinda new to this and it was my first bikc so I was really surprised by what I saw. Brilliant video and well analysed. Thats all before we even got into Heavyweight. 1 weighed in at 89.4 and wasnt allowed to re weigh and 1 was found with lead in his suit and rib protector. Both disqualified a d both from Docklands unfortunately. Hopefully youll make it back to docklands 1 day been good racing with you boty over last few months.
Amelia had 28 for semi-final-lovely issue with a flat tire, kart was retired. Then she had 20 for the grand final which had no power and steering from the 2nd lap onwards with no boast available
Damn, your opponents having a worse time than the people I am racing with. Even if someone goes first time there, I give them advice to be at least fast in a straight line. Sometimes is just good to go there like early morning, there are like less people there and you will be more focused on your lap time.
Lol! I guess there is also driving style. I went to the 3 Aug grid event and did a >46s on 18 while I got a sharp 45.000 on 4 I just couldn’t handle 18 on corners
From the 342 event as of 07/08/23 15 is good 18 is very rapid since amelia was the only person to set a 43s time 14 is also quick 3 has no acceleration specifically at the low speed corners 9 is quite understeery but not the old kart 19 kind of understeer And kart 4 should literally have a tier of its own Its insane
11 is apparently the fastest kart of the rest when it was driven at Edmonton 😅 And Kart 24 wasnt actually a terrible kart. I managed to get a 44.646 back in June but id say it was quite underpowered rather than unpleasant to drive but it could probably be a case of me being light
Well every time they take out the fastest kart, a new one is a rocket ship instead. Before 1 it was 24, but if they just keep taking the fastest out every time, what are we left with? The shit
She is crazy quick, smooth, consistent, and has an awesome attitude to always improving too! Which is amazing, she is one to watch for sure. I'm not even going to use weight as an excuse, I'm fairly sure she'd kick my arse weighing the same / more than me. She also broke into the 43 seconds last night, which I believe I was behind her at the time too, going to be editing the videos now. (With my new personal best too)
@@tmog-racing She could actually be going places real fast if she does league races and more outdoor rentals in general ngl. I place my bet that she'll reach the national finals this year or next year if things don't go her way. This week also seems like a good week to go docklands because I think 4 or 5 people have gotten into the 43s barrier with this new fleet in the past 2 days
What a shame, they took new karts from Edmonton insted off buying new ones. They bring old ones from Doclands to Edmonton. Real shame on Team Sport 😥😥😥
Wierd, we were told Edmonton were getting electric ones, so maybe this is preparation for that - but taking the karts early so the karts are the same throughout bikc qualifying, maybe? So good news is you might be getting new karts again very soon?
Yea it be like that some times. That's the risk with public sessions. It is good practice avoiding collisions and reading the track ahead to take the best paths though, which helps. We wanted to hit in a few quiet sessions before the school holidays kicked in properly but it wasn't as quiet as we'd hoped.
They felt decent, talking to staff we couldn't really get out of them which ones were notably better, but that will become clear after we go to a members event I guess, but the ones we drove (3 sessions and 2 drivers so we had 6 different karts) we didn't have any complaints, which is rare. I did a 45.1, which is not quite as good as my PB, and with the new corner layout we should be able to shave upto .5 of a second off of that, so still have to get this new modified corner right

Personally I feel I brake more than others, but always keep the kart straight and flat to maximise the grip while breaking , then turn in and get back on the throttle *as soon as you can* without sliding the kart out, this might require some partial throttle in some places, but every corner is slightly different. The double hair pin corner I consider the hardest for this
