I asked my elderly friend about it once. He laughed and said no my parents were in that time in PA. They had a grocery store so they had to stay open. He did lose a few relatives I think they were in the Army.
Thanks for sharing. When I was little we had many elderly neighbours, a few of whom would've lived through WWI and the epidemic. Wish I'd had the foresight to ask them about their recollections of those days as now there's no one with a living memory of those events. Ask your elders about the past as they can give you first hand insights into historical events.
I need to spend some time putting it together and getting it transcribed since he can occasionally be difficult to understand - but I hope to be able to do so in the coming weeks and share more of his story with everyone. I'm amazed at the number of people who have watched this and asked for more!
Interesting, in Russia we at that time did not have this flu pandemic. Perhaps because there was a much worse disaster called communist terror which continued for 70 years...

I love the song, that is why I watched the video. My opinion of the clip: This looks like clips from Miley Cyrus, but then with a male version of her. It's cultural a bit weird to see a guy act like how some female singers are made to act in video clips. But maby it is a joke or statement? I'm not sure. But it is It's controversial. people may feel offended by it, and others will feel offended about that. that makes it hard to react to. Besides that, the clip is very well put toghether. It looks proffecional.
