This is a great video- fixed my issue, I just got a new M&P Pro series and my other one didn't have this issue- I think it's part of the manufacturing process since the takedown lever looks like a MIM part. Just a sprue left over that wasn't properly ground down.
vIDEO WORTH HAVING MADE. fOR ANYTHONE CONSIDERING A "trp op" (STILL AVAILABLE BRAND NEW IN 2024....IN tORONTO). i'M GUESSING sPRINGFIELD HAS TAKEN CARE OF THIS SINCE ASS i HAVEN'T HEARD ANYONE MENTION IT ON THE 2024 trp (THOUGH IT HAS ONLY BEEN OUT OFR LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, NOR ON THE eMISSARY, oPERATOR, gARRISON, rONIN..... gOOD TO HEAR sPRINGFLIED'S cs WAS POSITIVE...
Put one on my prodigy it was over 100$ makes assembly and disassembly quick and easy. Well worth the money. It's a bushing not a plug. Take your slide off your gun remove spring and rod remove barrel you do not have to capture outside of system first
Thanks man, this fixed the issue on the full size M&P 45 I got a few weeks ago. I was bummed out that something was "wrong". Same little burr, and a minute or so with a diamond file and the problem went away.
I'm extremely disappointed in Smith & Wesson for this, I expected way better I don't know why I just did I thought they were better company. Obviously it wasn't designed this way because the manual doesn't say to do it the way they are saying it was designed. It's a flaw and they should fix it.
I had someone post some time ago that S&W had fixed this issue in their newer models. Still, it was a big headache for me during the time I owned it. I put the file to it and it worked but eventually it had to go. Having to replace parts was going to be an issue later.
Once you pull the slide off, if you make sure to push the guide-rod & recoil spring assembly back down into the groove under, or at, the barrel lug it will slide on without the takedown lever interference. Not sure why that end seems to sort of pop out a bit when you take the slide off, just noticed this on mine and that's how I get around it. I had it all apart today and did not notice anything but wear on the takedown lever. No burrs I could readily see.
I filed my 3/16 - 1/4 Inch Guide Rod Down where I was COMFORTABLE...SHOOTS GREAT NO KINKS OR ANY ISSUE EVER 1100 and Counting...AND NO MORE PINS OR PAPER CLIPS>>>And Looks Cool...I got 2 Black Holes Staring at Yeah...LOL
Thanks! I purchased those grips from Dawson Precision. It’s just some funky logo, Japanese style writing. They are aggressive and looked cool. Gives it that touch

I have a Sig P226 in .40 S&W, it the best to buy, because you have 3 caliber in one gun by purchasing a 9mm barrel and recoil spring, magazine. Then purchase a .357 barrel(just reuse your .40 recoil spring), voila 3 calibers one gun. Cheaper than buying three guns
You definitely got a good deal trading a Glock for all what he has into that gun! He is crazy though putting all that into a cheaper RIA! Not bad guns just not a glass case pistol imo. 🤷♂️
Yeah I just ordered the nickle GI model in 38 Super, I bought some $40 Buffalo Indian head nickel pearl grips and that’s my extent I’m spending on it except for a couple 10rd mags maybe. I don’t get why you’d buy a cheap nickle plated gun then spend all that money to refinish it and have new sights milled in!?! Why not just order the Parkerized one if you don’t like the nickle? Man for all that money you could have just got a nice Colt! 🤷♂️
Okay, I'll ask - What is wrong with you? The TRP Operator is not illegal in California due to any type of Grips. Where do people like you come up with this stuff? Try to visit the Springfield Armory website sometime or the California DOJ approved handgun list before you say stupid crap like this.
