If you read about the fate of the Amalkite women aka the virgin women you will see that the bible does condone sex without being married to the partner.
God is trying to restore the Garden of Eden, not restore Babylon. In the Garden there were literally only two people: one was a man, and one was a woman. There was no ability to be attracted man to man or woman to woman because there was only one man and one woman. *All attractions other than that are variants of that inescapable truth. You are denying God when you deny His created attraction template,* and, even more-so, it is confusion: you cannot make love without rod A in slot B (forgive my crassness). You can't have a man without a woman! You can't have a male without a female. You can't have true "relations" without an opposite. The only true relation is male to female and that's just a fact of logic. You can worship yourself, please yourself, and make up your own rules to "'love' who you want to 'love'" and how you want to 'love', but that isn't love, it's lust. Love is selfless. Same-attraction is selfish BY NATURE, by logic.

If you live in the world then sex is fine without marriage, but if you seek the kingdom of God then if one is going to have sex it must be with the one you married. And one might read some scripture about divorce as well and what Christ says about that since in this world one can do so so easily. Scripture also tells us marriage is one man and one woman as well.

Because those with sex-negative ideologies often place a greater emphasis on sex than other people. That's interesting, I've never heard of this as a problem. Part of the atonement as I've understood is it is an element of repentance, which requires a personal sense of regret. And I think that that works with actually immoral things that cause harm because people have a conscience about harm, but having pre-marital sex doesn't inherently trigger a sense of guilt, which is why shame is so often substituted.

The same chapter says that the uncircumcised shouldn't be circumcised but that doesn't make circumcision a sin. The passage is correcting misconceptions not laying out universal laws. Just keep remembering that one particular part of the Bible right in the beginning when Satan said "You will not surely die"...etc. Same deception, same tactics, just with new generations. Key phrase (part of a verse) is "do not be deceived." You can't go wrong with a higher standard.
@@DL_Burns That's an interesting point but I would say that it's strange to not consider the possibility that your perspective could have been brought about through deception. For centuries upon centuries Christians believed that slavery was ordained by God along with the inferiority of women. Not two hundred years ago major leaders of American Christianity believed that not only was sex risky but that all sex was immoral along with spices and sugar. From my perspective Purity culture is an extension of the same flawed tradition. And I think that it's especially insidious when cultural ideas of sexual purity become more important than the gospel.

Well put! So many people get this wrong. The Bible says that man and woman becomes ONE FLESH when the copulate. So once one flesh; and you part to pursue another sexual relation you commit adultery. There is this idea that as long as you remain with one partner at a time it is okay. This is not Biblical. Psychological peer reviewed research found that when people have sex before a commitment/ covenant/ marriage the relation tend not to last. Keep yourself therefore pure for your partner till the day of marriage/ entering a covenant.
The Bible doesn't say that though, and it never says that this "one flesh" state is permanent. Personally I think that people read too much into the phrase.

Some marriages ,believe it or not,are created by God through home ceremonies and prayer and living together. No need of certificates on earth but it helps with splitting community property.Some marriages that we consider bethrothals are the marriage actually,and sometimes God doesnt intend for all marriages to continue for the whole mortal life.He often plans on us eventually remarrying but by His authority when that better someone will be given.
What a lot of nonsense. I am an old man, 83. Guess what was going on in my life during high school in 1958 ? Yes, my girlfriend and I began to have intercourse after many months of making out. Of course we always used condoms. Religion has nothing to do with people's sexuality.
If everyone would follow this law of confining sexual expression to marriage it's undeniable that there would be a lot less problems in society, i.e. unwanted pregnancy, STDs, broken trust, etc. But above that, my belief is that those who wait until marriage are blessed with a heightened ability to feel the Spirit, and that's where the deeper blessings come from. All this being said, even those who have not kept this law can receive forgiveness and healing through the grace of Jesus Christ.

It is. You can look for forgiveness and the Lord will understand you. Because winning that battle is hard if you go alone. You need Lord. Avois temptation, resist. He will understand, but try it. Try not to sin! GOD wants us to conquer and master SELF-CONTROL. ⚠️
