Well, thank you for the video!! I just bought my Terrova and will get it installed in the next few days. I'm pretty excited about this, but I am not sure, at the age of 65, I'll get all of that tech stuff going. I wish I could have found one that was a few years older and saved some money, but this is what Bass Pro Shops has so I got it. I know that I will LOVE Auto Pilot because I had a Minn Kota in the mid 90's that had Auto Pilot. The main reason that I wanted to get this motor is the Auto Pilot. After reading and seeing some others, I am excited about the Spot Lock. That will be very useful for me as well. After I get it installed, I'll head down to my "watering hole" and start trying to learn. It will be a challenge, but I hope that I'll be able to use it to the fullest. Thanks.
I would encourage all owners to pay particular attention to the area where the foot pedal sits in a recessed position on the front deck! My Lund Renegade had 1 drain hole, and it got clogged and the pedal was sitting in a couple inches of water. I cleared the drain hole, but ADDED 2 more to prevent future foot pedal baths LOL. I can't think of anything worse for electronics then sitting in water!
I looked at the Garmin owners manual, and the picture of the GPS wire routing at the base was, uh ... not clear to say the least. Your instructions were clear, concise, and the video was done in a well lit area. THANK YOU.
My husband hit the down button and didn't know how to stop it and it deployed on concrete will that hurt it? It now sounds like the cables came undone and won't retract. Help!!
One thing I;d like to point out is shaft length on the instinct, the steering and trim motors are so big, it requires going up one size in shaft length for your waterline, the minn kota website doesn't address this problem yet.
So my talon will deploy but the spike won’t retract. It beeps 3 times and stops. The talon is making noise as if it’s trying but the spike stays. I can easily slide it up and down by hand. Any help?
Can you please do a video on why my Motor guide trolling motor indicator arrow. It will not work when I press on the footpedal, the arrow simply will not move.
If I have a bad reed switch, should I be able to use my remote to control my Ultrex? If they both work intermittently, is there potentially an issue with the head of my Ultrex? At a speed setting of 1 I don't get any movement from the prop and it seems that when the prop turns it is turning slower than what the speed setting is.
Let's say I want to do 2.5 mph And I can do that with a 30# thrust motor Or 50# thrust motor. Would the amp draw Be the same? *** would the 50# motor be more efficient on a lower setting than a 30# motor needing a higher setting to match the same performance?
I just put a new control board in. Very simple process, especially with this video. HOWEVER one in and I plug in my power light is blinking even when motor is NOT deployed. Read somewhere that maybe that is a new Standby feature? Also my remote won't sync and has brand new batteries. Any thoght wold be appreciated.
This is awesome!! I inherited a PD V1 with a cheap boat I bought last year. I figured this was all possible, since the advanced features are just about manipulating the same old hardware.
Perfect video for installing the kit. I got mine added to my 2020 model power drive in about 10 minutes. Now I’m placing waypoints on my fish finder and letting it drive itself
I have a MK30, never been in the water, wires lengthened for a kayak mod. Not getting all speeds. Tested lead wires per this video and got different speed on all wires. I checked voltage at each lead on the switch and found something interesting - in 1st position forward, white lead had voltage, yellow/red did not have voltage. but when i connected the actual wires to the motor and back probed the lead, both white and yellow had voltage. It seems the yellow wire back feeds voltage to the switch from the motor. Is this normal? Should I maybe look at a bad speed coil - how do I diagnose the speed coil? thanks for any help.
I got a new control board and GPS unit still having issues seems like the Compass is getting confused. Everything else is working as expected. Have removed excess cable in the head but haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.
I have a PowerDrive 42lb/54 inch shaft/ foot controlled but my serial has no bt at the end. Can I upgrade it with a kit to get all of these features or is it not compatible?
I was deploying my ultrex, and the bowguard mounting bolt sheared in half and now my trolling motor is detached. Is it possible I’ve damaged the lift assist as well?
I have Riptide PowerDrive 55/CP w/ CoPilot & Bluetooth - 12V-55lb-54in I bought the this kit and when I try to sync with the remote, there is no beeping noise
your videos are clear, to the point and led me to your store. Great prices, reasonable shipping costs and easy to find your way to the right parts. Thanks!
