Among all the stores in gunpla stores tokyo, this place had the most stocks. Went here last month and I literally spent nearly 50k yen on gunpla, tools, and paint lmao
Puyo Puyo Party N64 is basically Puyo Puyo~n, aka Puyo Puyo 4 seen on the PS1, GBC, and Dreamcast. If you like the series, it's worth picking up for your collection, no matter any of the 3 versions of the game. Personally I have the PS1 and GBC versions, the latter is pretty much just an updated version of Puyo Puyo Sun GBC, just not Super Game Boy compatible (since Yo~n GBC is a clear cart, while Sun is a black cart), and the Puyo Puyo 4 characters added in.
Neat! I've seen Bomber Girl so often, but I have never played it. I also never noticed that it has characters from Tokimeki Memorial and Twinbee. So I suppose Konami bought out Hudson? That would explain why Konami did the hardware for the PC Engine Mini. Thanks for this video. I was last down in Tokyo a year ago, but it was just for the hobby show and didn't have time to visit any cool game centers. For Tower of Druaga, you have to draw your sword and hold it, then run into the slimes with it. So, the button is not a slash attack. I know, right? Not intuitive. Once you get used to it, it is sort of fun. Did you notice that the Taiko no Tatsujin had the marquee to Garou Densetsu (Fatal Fury)? That's weird. The pirate barrel game I have never seen at a game center, butit's based on a popular Japanese children's toy. You insert swords into the slots in the barrel and see how many you can put in before it pops and scares you. Each time you play, the trigger is in a random location.
OH MY GOD! THIS PLACE LOOKS LIKE HEAVEN ON EARTH...!!!! I want to go there now...! Hopefully, next year if I can afford it... ^^;; Thank you for making this awesome video.
If you love Darius EX a lot, check out Darius 2 at Taito HEY (hirose Entertainment Yard) in Akihabara (First floor, turn right to the end) It's projector setup. It's gigantic, with big standing speakers. Taito and their in-house band Zuntata make incredible soundtracks and it sounds so badass. I love how Taito Hey provides headphones as well for games with great music. Personally, Hey is my favorite arcade in Tokyo :-D Especially if you're a SHMUP fan.
I never owned a Saturn - and I think I played dodonpachi on iphone or something but I really hate the falling stars filling the screen, - but I got a MISTer and recently started playing DonPachi ( Saturn ) which is an incredible game. The music and the announcer / radio-buddy really add to the experience. I am playing on a 34" Trinitron which is awesome, but I would LOVE the TATE original arcade machine in my house one day. I am on holiday atm and keep wanting to go back home because I was playing every day.
I think this 6th floor gundam is a funny misnomer and they should be called what it’s called - isn’t it Yamada Denki of Labi select? Kindly help spread the right info. Also… skipping gundam base is such a bad movement to spread
Yaaaay Mikado Takadanobaba!! This arcade was my favourite when I was living in Japan. Btw Mikado's mascot character is designed by Rensuke Oshikiri the writer of High Score Girl, and there are gacha machines where you can get badges with the character on it. She looks like Akira Ono from the manga so it's a must visit for High Score Girl fans.
The Pirate game is called Kurohige Kiki Ippatsu which is pop up pirate. Its based on the kids toy. Stick swords in random slots and you lose if you pop the pirate. Intersting they have an coin op version of this game. Never knew it existed. thank you for sharing and subbed for future content!
It's definitely up there for me as well! The animation was crazy at the time (and it still holds up). I remember wolverine's animation specifically really blew my mind.
Daytonaaaaaaa... Thats epic. I used to play in a four cabinet setup with some friends when we go to the cinema. Lots of fun. Classic afterburn cabinet and game are trully masterpieces. As a game dev I really miss these simple but fun games. I hope I can work in one of that kind someday. Nice video as aways 😊
Cool video! I have some negative arcade feelings because they were always geared to take your $$ away so fast, but still great to see. Was this early in the day? Not very crowded there.
Should need to mention that Gundam is one of my favorite anime franchises next to Evangelion. Matter of fact, my favorite thing of all times, that being Xenogears, is basically Mobile Suit Gundam meets Evangelion and it's as awesome as implied.
@@chocolocojames213 they were really beautifully maintained! And no one in Japan seems to modify the machines by installing flat panel screens in them like we do in the US. Its 100% CRT goodness
i actually went here a month and a half ago cause of its relation to Hi-Score Girl. They have some merch available from the Hi-Score Girl creator! I got lost looking for it for a few minutes though.
Oh man, those super old school Japanese cabinets! I don't know what it is about them, but they just look so much more sleek than the boxy ones we had in the US.
I went here a few years ago. I played F-Zero AX here. Looks they've changed the games since then. They used to have pinball machines in the rhythm game corner. I remember one old man came in and he just played Columns all night
I think they move the games around quite often. They may have also moved that F-zero AX cabinet to the Ikebukuro location, because there is one there now.
