Bridget, this was an awesome video! It was so fun to have Blaine as your special guest to see how to use this strategy with students. I think the visualizing ideas would be so helpful for English Language Learners. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope you are enjoying your summer! 💜
5:15 I feel like if my teachers were like this with me as I was in school, I would have comprehended and kept it in my head. I was in Special Education and it was really just words on paper and you completed it by yourself I need this type of process of learning. Thank you for showing teachers this way of teaching. (Wish I had you as a teacher) especially in Special Education.
I loved this video! It was so helpful having Blaine model it! I really liked that text too! It would be a great addition for building background knowledge for unit 3 of my curriculum!
Bless your son! He worked through hiccups and was a champ. I’d love for him to be one of my students. We definitely want to see him in more teaching strategy videos.
Thank you for sharing! I used your writing curriculum last year and loved it. I taught one of your roadmapping lessons, but didn't introduce it as well to students as you did in this video. Really helps to see this example. Excited to teach it better next year and use more consistently throughout the school year. Thank you!
WOW!!!!! What a great skill. I want to try this out so badly at the start o the year. Where would you suggest getting nonfiction or fiction articles like this one. Blane was grwn up so much(I've been watching for many years). Yes, would love to see him again. Alicia from CT
Bridget, so nice to see your sweet face come across my feed! Loved this video. I’m the same way. After 2 weeks, I get antsy and miss the routine school gives me! Definitely going to implement these things. Also… collab with Michelle? 👀👌🏻
Hi, Bridget! Fantastic video, as usual. I am moving to a new school in my district, but still teaching third grade next year. I want to be prepared so that the school year is more streamlined. Thank you for the clear list of actionable steps. I am also excited to see your special guest on next week's video. Thanks for all you do!!! 💜
Random question, if you cannot make it for the live stream will there be a way to rewatch it later? I am at another professional development all that week from 8-4 lol.
You are now Michelle’s tutor as she is returning to the classroom 😂😂😂😂😂😂! You both are amazing teachers am proud of you both. God bless you for both for all you do.
If I decide to do and participate in the bootcamp will it be recorded? I do work over the summer and would love to be a part of this and get really valuable information. Thank you. Alicia from CT
Yes! You’ll have access to the group and after a month we will archive and you will not be able to participate. If you are in the community, all the videos will be added there so you’ll always have access.
I love your units for reading and high interest; teaching reading over 20 years; students are struggling more than ever to start the writing process, after working 20 years in special education; those students that struggle writing are having more difficulty due to learning the typing process; and technology at a young age. They missed on on identing, finger space between words; foundational writing skills. I am wondering have you noticed and the part of the country where you are from... I have SLD students writing 4 paragraphs with writing templates at the end of their 4th grade year, several years back and with learning the editing process; can you share anything. Now with curriculum to follow companies that write curriculum are not writing high interest age appropriate and reading level ready books, your units are the best along with others I have compiled over the past 12 years. Could you do a video on this the end of July or August?
Really? There are countless teachers claiming to teach that which they do not know, and you are one of them. How many parts of speech does a computer use to process all information? Plato told you, he called it dialectic. Your body tells you by the only parts of speech you can abstract. How many grammar systems are possible by these parts of speech? You don't know. Plato tried to figure it out, however the Bible puts it into metaphor. Every grammar is composed of symbol sets and methods of recursively applying them to form the grammar. How much is two times two? What are the names of those categories of grammar?
