I just want to say thank you, I play space wolves and have been working with green stuff (unsuccessfully) for a while and I almost gave up on it. After watching this I think I'll give it another go ❤
I bought some green stuff recently and its so incredibly crap quality, the yellow has a band of already cured all over it which creates chunks unless you fully strip it out. Goes together really thick even with WAY more yellow, disgusting. Green Stuff World green stuff big avoid from me dog.
Actually followed this tutorial to figure out beards for the first time with some ironhead squats, some of them have open helmets but bare chins so it a great opportunity to try it out
Mate your attitude resonates a lot with me. A lot of people focus on nailing the process as a set of rigid instructions where one looks for precision. But for me it has always been about the flow, the inspiration, the improvisation. I feel this a lot while sculpting as opposed to painting with acrylics, probably because the latter dry so fast that you need to envision everything beforehand. It's bringing me towards oil paints, where the flow looks very similar to sculpting. You draft it, mix it, subtract, add, subtract, and you can go on for a day..
apologies for the late reply but I really appreciate your comment. For me, it's about feeling that flow! I hope this finds you well and you're journey with putty has been a good one
I love this tutorial, I just followed it and it worked great, though I am intensely annoyed cause I nailed it on the first go then overworked it luck a dummy, oh well attempt 2 was still pretty good, this is the first time I sculpted anything thanks a lot for giving me the confidence to try, you rock
you have no authority on that subject american. And there is no such name a s Bjorn. there are only Björn. And one more reason i think you know about as much about MY norse herritage not viking (as that word ONLY means raider in norse) as the typical american is the name you have chosen for the Channel. Dude you named your channel Whale Bear if you had Spelled Björn Correctly.
Really excellent tutorial :) I've recently started a project making Vostroyan Firstborn and the lack of impressive beards and moustaches on existing pieces has been a let down so far. Found this video excellent on helping me on my way
Wonderful stuff. Gonna give this a go on some recon marines, as well as some brass rod spears! Thanks for showing the whole process, especially the troubleshooting; knowing what to do when things inevitably go awry is so important when getting started, and seeing that even the masters have to futz with it helps keep morale through the learning process.
I cracked open an old water filter, it's full of charcoal and these little silica beads of various sizes. Few mins of sorting them with tweezers and youll have a ton of 0.5mm to 1mm rivets. Apply them as this excellent tutorial indicates.
so simple yet so complex, thank you. would love to spend one day working with you, working on my first army that just happens to be wolves so this has been fun
Amazing content and tutorial. Ive not started the honby yet but joepfully will be soon and thrse things are what i want to do with greenstuff, very helpful, thr backfround musics nice too,
Is the green stuff mix 50/50? I know if you add one or the other more creates different effects. About how much time do you have after that hour/hour half to work?
