Regardless of your tight schedule, you can't proceed to pilot station without confirmation from pilot. Who gives a sh*t about your tight schedule? Rules are rules. And from our video, so many things happened on that ship, the company should think of firing that captain, or even whole bridge team. Must be honest, you jave explained point of non return and abort point pretty well, but i was at least to say surprised when you said you have proceeded to p/s without confirmation. Great video. What a great life, getting paid to travel around the world. I suffer from sea sicknes a lot. Do you or any of crew suffer from it? And how do you combat it?
Its all about practice, its good that you know your weakness, so now you can work on it. No need to worry, I know some ppl even from the arts background come into this industry and now sailing as a experienced officer onboard.
Firstly it does not require that much english fluency. Cause mostly here are industrial knowledge and terms... Secondly you can start practicing from today. Whatever you study just speak it out loudly. And repeat again...that will be enough.
