When i plan to buy watches, the most important measurement i want to know is the lug-to-lug. For my wrist size the ideal measurement is between 48 to 51mm as the max. Beyond that size it wont consider buying. Watch company should include this measurement on their spec.
I have the 2023 Blue dial (date @ 6:00) and my wrist is about your size…16.5 cm so the 39mm Carrera is perfection for me. I still own and wear my 1969 Baylor so starting life with a Heuer and finishing with a Heuer. Great chronograph watches so I really enjoyed your review! Thanks

Hello Alexander, how do you think this compares to a Rolex Explorer I 40mm or a Rolex Datejust 41? Do you think that the price is comparably justified? Regards
It is difficult to compare these… Overall a Rolex is the technical better, more advanced watch… especially concerning its antimagnetic properties … but in terms of exclusivity the IWC beats any Rolex by far… the IWC is a very, very good watch… more expensive … more rare…
Brilliant interview and thanks for this Alexander. Im coming back to following watches after some crazy years where all I could hear from watch channels was Rolex and INVESTMENT. Its a shame for Lange having to take these measures although Im personally not a big fan of the Odysseus but I fear the concept of high end watches has forever changed - Very few true fans of watchmaking and savoir-faire exist, and the sadly the market for them/us is becoming frankly unaffordable. The rest are interested in well flipping. So all in all I dont see a very bright future for the watch industry. Last checked there are 50 (yes 50!) Odysseus watches on Chrono24 being sold for 120000 dollars - Its unbelievable. Dont think Lange can find this halo/angelic/white knight customer. It does not exist.
A great watch and thanks for the review - i'm very lucky to have the 1 of 858 geosphere ultra black that is stunning - i've added two white dots to the bezel by the North marker so I can use it as a conventional timing bezel.
The black and patina colour seemed so familiar but i couldnt place it. Today it hit me. The textured black surface and coloured indices are reflected on the MB interior. 😅
I like blanpainc but only in secondary market,i find the same rolex in gold for only 3500$ in 33mm....same price than an omega riche ville in gold,so i prefer the blanpainc bjt new, toooo expensive, and more in gold
Beautiful watches, but they do look a little too thick for ladies wrists,, considering that they will try to match to an outfit. I would love one with a bigger case, say 39mm.
Thanks Alexander for covering this new release, I think this is great that Tudor is releasing such watches. They deserve coverage and attention as well.
just curious, since the 1000hr jlc testing is strict, and with case on, does that mean that the 3bar water resistance is legitimately 3 meter like swimming level? (ofcourse wont swim with such dress watch)
