Yugi: "you broke our rules, you activated my trap card" Opponent: "oh, what card are you going to play?" Yugi: "smiles mischievously" Opponent:" we're still in a show about people playing a card game right?"
Holy fucking shit i think i just found a new favorite Dynal remix. The build up at the beginning, the way you integrated the encounter theme and the actual god tier voice acting and the way you incorporated the sound effects ugh! If you were trying to recapture what the Dynal encounter felt like when i was a kid, consider ypur mission accomplished. You've earned yourself a new sub.
I love when there isn't very commonly remixed tracks that pop up. Everyone always does the most popular ones and pretty much it's "You heard one you heard them all." Sometimes the "one" is the original.
I have no idea what this is, but I like it. 👍 A quick google tells me that this is from that one DS game that was always on like the third shelf of my local games store when I was a kid.
Steam Cave has always stuck with me as one of the coolest locations in any Pokemon game. The mystical feel of reaching it the first time and seeing that strange rock structure with the cascading water. Ahh, great times. And great interpretation of the track as well. Your style of making the track progress like a journey is a perfect fit for a track like this. Adds an extra layer to the music that I really like.
Huh. Not what I expected. This is really cool though. As I'm writing this comment I also realise you have named the movements. Ha! Yeah this good stuff.
Very interesting mix! When the main theme is going, I love how consistent the clock is in the background, carrying through from the beginning, great job with this!!
Fun Fact: Every time you use a Guardian Charm to wipe out Yoshimoto's army, you are in fact re-enacting history, as he lost to Nobunaga with his massive army that was 6x larger. That's why he's the "joke" character in this game. He has great choices that are 90% Links like Scizor and Galvantula, so use those and he is a legit threat.
Damn, I had no idea! I was only vaguely familiar with his history and knew he lost to Nobunaga but not by that much. What a dork, thanks for sharing!!! I think I nabbed a Joltik/Galvantula on my Pokemari story playthrough with him eons ago and pretty much ran that the entire time. The Forretress is just awful as a perfect link lol.
@@nova0451 Yoshimoto was not a dork, he lost because he let his guard down. Nobunaga ambushed him during a rainy night after Yoshimoto claimed several of Nobunaga's forts. Yoshimoto was actually not a half-bad general. The real dork was the successor, Ujizane, who was known to enjoy Kemari and poetry, but was also known to not to be a particularly great leader.
Thank you for the correction! I will do some digging before making the next Conquest remix to better understand the nuances of the character. Maybe I can put a little bit of that story into the music. You've got me intrigued on doing research into this time period - any specific resources that are your go-to?
@@nova0451 tbh, I don't have any resources, this is just from the events from Samurai Warriors (which still bases itself off of the real life events, even if it isn't always fully accurate) and a bit of digging in Wikipedia. It would be good to know that this is the Sengoku Period, or the Warring-States Era of Japan though.
Blessed be the algorithm lol. This video just exploded two weeks ago and it hasn't stopped since. I was bummed out cuz I thought that meant we were getting pmd explorers remakes or something 😂
This is super cool and such a wonderful find!! My thanks to the maker. The ticking clocks are my favourite part. Big fan of the game growing up - finding stuff like this is always great!!
Glad you liked it! This theme holds a special place in my heart and I'm eager to hear we share that feeling! The ticking clocks were a nightmare to make happen when producing this but it turned out alright!
This was a blast of a listen! I also have a lot of attachment to this particular theme thanks to countless hours spent on Pokémon Showdown. Like you, I enjoy the driving, rock-style battle theme remixes, and this delivered! Your creativity is something special; keep at it!
Listening to the mastering on this is a little painful but I think the arrangement is alright. Maybe when I hit a one-year anniversary for the channel I'll give this one a do-over and ramp it up with what I've learned over the year! :) I feel like I know a lot more now than 6 months ago.
I really like the glitchy effect on the gear, would love to know how it was done honestly. I also love the more cinematic feel of all this, having the music tell a story.
It's a stock fusion effect in DaVinci Resolve applied to a time gear png as a mask. I just vary the transparancy of that mask over the video so it only happens when the music glitches out.
