Pretty much all CC is reduced besides just a couple classes the main bulk of time under CC can't be since the forms that are unaffected are .25 seconds to .75 seconds or ultimate ability's
but what about xerath casting 2 or even 3 abilities? since ludens seems to be stronger for single ability poke but horizon does buff additional abilities after the first for burst champions.
seems like kaenic is better vs poke/burst, while foc is better in longer fights. So depends on enemy team champs, and how tanky your champ is/how long fights last
Could you do an update on echoes of helia vs moonstone? it feels like echoes of helia heals more on Nami than moonstone when I've tested. Maybe I'm wrong, still unsure if moonstone applies to both heals of nami W or just the first part?
frozen heart vs onhit autos and randuins vs crit autos. The problem is when you have champs that do a combination. For instance lethal tempo yone or yasuo. Do I go frozen heart for the onhit of bork etc, or randuin to counteract the crit dmg from IE, kraken slayer etc? Preferably I would like to have both, but that means I spend gold on overlapping passives, which seems like a waste.
FON committed the ultimate crime of being a tank item that was actually effective & practical. Thus, they assraped FON by removing the -25%magic dmg effect and replacing it with easily penetrable flat MR along with a longer wait time before it activates. Of course rookern is better even after the rookern nerfs awhile back.
"The difference is small" when showing a 10% dmg difference at 200MR.... You need to look at numbers a bit better to give a objective analysis, 10% is not small.
as you said, abilites do matter. i think a great way of determining if you want FON is to count the number of magic damage spell you are going to get hit by and see if you will get max stacks in a reasonable time. for example FON vs cassio is extremely good because all of her spells deal magic and she wants to spam E. also things like stormrazor, rapid, wits end, runnans, recurve bow and renata, zeri (passive), yone autoattacks all deal magic so they will give stacks (these are only a few examples there are a lot more)
The thing is rookern is always good vs all magic damage, and fon is situationally slightly better if ideal conditions are met, but just buy rookern its simply just better if all u care about is surviving magic damage which is usually the case.
People just take this into consideration first of all. THINK Dammit If my champ is a champ in which can burst an important target, just go Void, if not go Crypto Also to take into consideration, if by any chance their comp is not giving you room and fights will take a long period of time, just go Crypto. That is all
perhaps it would be more insightful to consider a whole rotation of spells: 50 damage on its own does not seem a lot, but using multiple spells the difference can creep up quickly, especially if it is to hit multiple opponents. Then Cryptblooms AH could be taken into consideration as well. The way ability haste works, if I am correct, it could be fairly accurately be expressed as just a factor of how much faster you would be able to cast spells, rather than having to express it in seconds, regardless of how much ability haste is in the rest of the build.
They should do the same as devs did with Heart of tarrasque in Dota 2, reduce the percentage regeneration, but it will always work regardless of whether the hero received damage or not (once Sterak had stacks of %hp regeneration, but this was removed, they should give this passive to Warmog imo).
With vlad as my main ap champ, i go cryptbloom in nearly all situations because 1) it has ability haste which is very important on vlad, esp on magic pen/max ap build, 2) heal is helpful both for your and squishy teammates sutain
Been running cryptbloom on karthus and anivia (who you would think void is better on since their damage is sustained) and I was shocked how big the heal is, even without rabbadons. I’d probably still go void if they have tanks, but nowadays the only tank I ever see is maokai in the botlane

While the damage difference is a bit Higher, I go for Cryptbloom because not only its pasive utility, but also because it has ability haste too. That can impact certain champions who whats to have low CDs and can impact a bit some few mages which their core builds for some reason don´t involve build core items with Ability haste.
When you have flat magic pen the dmg difference is also going to be much bigger with Void and Cryptblooms. It's not simple as just how much AP you have.
Eh, you can get the heal in a way that matters a lot more rarely than the damage. I'd say the more important question is if the 15 AH are worth the lowered damage, and my guess would be it depends on champ and pre-built items.
